Closing Day 2004
High Po!nts:
Breakfast with some of my closest CP buds, CP family, GOCC family and others. Interesting thing here was to see which out of 3 would make more trips to the breakfast buffet. Although the competition was tough, I believe my hubby won that! ;)
The weather in the morning sucked, it looked like we were destined for another closing day with crappy weather again. Mother Nature blessed us later in the day with blue skies, sunshine and tolerable winds :)
Hubby and I took on park at our leisure. Hubby rode a couple of the spin and pukes (Monster and Witches Wheel) and just watching him on Monster made me feel sick. We rode anything we wanted to, and enjoyed taking in the park one last time.
One of our 2 MF rides had 1st timers on, it was pretty funny listening to them!
Getting stuck on Raptor’s block brake for 10 minutes. The guy next to me went on and on about what the problem was before I finally HAD to open my mouth and tell HIM what the problem was. He asked me how I knew that, and I simply told him I had been on this crew for 3 years and I am pretty sure I know what I’m talking about. Once Raptor reset, off we went and no down time.
TTD was actually running awesome all day, we managed 1 ride in 20 minutes.
TTD went down around 6pm, and you can blame Skykicker for that! ;)
Hey Matt, how about a trip to SFGrtAdv so you can do the same to KK? ;)
Seeing and saying hi to Mr Kinzel
Not seeing Dan Keller
(yes, that was a high point)
The magic show. Although sad to see Aaron go, Tim is a nice replacement ;)
The show was great, reminded me of Aaron’s show’s some what, but found many more amazing illusions with Tim.
Meeting up with Skykicker, Dodge em Dave, Tony, Hooper and someone else who I apologize I can not remember his name! Our DT ride was PRICELESS...I knew it would be, my PIC was on board. It was a blast and I ended up laughing so hard I was crying! :)
Our dinner at Johnny Rockets. The stories we shared in there were SO funny! When you hang with my friends it is almost impossible to eat cause you spend so much time laughing!!
We got another WT ride before deciding to just hang out at Raptor for the last train of the season. We rode that, and although I found it sad another CP season over, it wasn’t as sad as it had been in years past. My bright point to that ride was when the train got back to the station Lauren asked "tell Raptor Jo how was your ride!!" That was too cool for me!! :)
Low Po!nts:
Maggie ate my hat!! I no sooner thought that I needed to make sure my hood was up (to keep from losing aforementioned hat) that the hat went flying off my head. I was so pissed! In a way I thought it was kind of funny considering my hubby had lost one of his Reds hats on DT, (they mailed it back to him, it had a wheel mark on it!) and his other Reds hat on Thunderhawk at Dorney (they found it that night) So HE really couldn’t say anything to me.
The idiot who came back into BS's station yaking on her cell phone. You couldn't wait until after you were done riding?
Saying goodbye to my CP buds was sad as always. The good thing about that is knowing in no time we would see each other again (GOCC and ACE Xmas dinners) and we always manage to get together a couple times during the winter too.
It was another great closing day, and more importantly another great CP season. Thank you to all my Po!nter buds, I love all you guys, you are so special to me!! Thank you to the crews who helped make this such a great CP season!
Who will ever forget OD, that special day in May and CoasterMania?
Not us, that’s for sure! :)
Have a great off season!
The memories will keep us going!! :)

It's all about getting around the barrels, or over the fences, right leads, no faults, fastest time and looking pretty when done. What's so hard about that?
Yeah little did everyone know Matt (skykicker) got the last ride on TTD. As I was next in line. Funny thing is a ride op walks by and a kid says "Hey Mr. What seems to be the problem?". He says "Well, I don't know what the problem is, but the problem is in the hydraulic building". Soon after the line cleared and we all received nice ride passes for a few rides.
Now I wonder if they will wait till April '05 to fix that?????
Oh and I wonder how many people got into last ride arguments?
"This second hill is my favorite part of the ride. It is so Cool!"

Jo,
Didn't we talk about how we should not wear hat's on rides yesterday at breakfast? I recall a certain incident with a republican on Millennium Force... Will you never learn?
Sorry I missed you at Magnum! (When were you there?) I would have left immediately to find that hat for ya ;)
~Jeff
PS By the way, if I would have known you were counting, I would have gone back for grits.... YEAH RIGHT!

Hey Jeff!
Ok, so both Montel and I are idiots!! I swore the hat would stay on...it was one of those stocking wool hats, not a baseball hat! The only thing that really made me mad about it was the fact Eric had just bought it for me (got ripped off actually) for $8.10!
Upset me cause I have like 4 cheap wool ones sitting at the barn and just forget to grab one before we left for CP. Duh!
We rode Maggie earlier in the day and did look for you! We meant to get back again but some how didn't! I suspect the track walk probably found that hat sitting right after the 1st tunnel.
I think btw hands down that Eric won the breakfast buffet challenge. My husband can definitely eat, but never gains any weight, something about me keeping it off him ;)
And no grits for me..... Blech! :(
It was wonderful seeing you again Jeff and hopefully we'll see ya during the off season! This time I will remember your name, promise!! :)

As usual it was a blast hanging out with the orinigal crue at the park for the last day of the year! I have to agree with you Jo and say that the Disaster Transport ride was a blast! I would also like to say thanks to Jo and Eric for the ride again pass to use on Millennium Force as it helped me get to 850 rides. Also thanks to Larry for a pass also. You guys are to kind! I can not wait for the christmas parties as I know they will be fun as well! Take care, keep warm, and I will see everyone sometime soon!
