Cleanup?

Hey Guys! Is spring cleanup underway?? Have any of you actually at the park and in housing now,...been in the park? When do you get your nametags? (Have the nametags changed since '02)? I was just curious what all being tested and what not--have they started testing Dragon with its new paint job?? Let me know, thnx .)~

The Supervisors' Seminar was last weekend, so yes, a lot of us traveled to the Point just a short while ago. There were already plenty of people there working on various things. The nametags are back to the '02 style (that is, with Snoopy on them instead of the American flag -- hooray!) Couldn't say what *all* is being tested. I didn't see anything running while I was there *but* that doesn't mean anything... (Why is everyone on GTTP in general so concerned about what is testing and what isn't, anyway? I'm sure the People in Charge of Such Things have it all down to a science by now... ^_~ Just watch the webcams for Signs, or grab a coaster video if you're getting antsy for rides and fun -- trust me, it will be available before you know it).

Not compared to some people, no...some people are "lifers" for real and work seasonally for a lot longer than four years. I don't even really think about the fact that I'm a "lifer" now. It's not like you get a reward or anything. ^_^ But it is kinda cool to think about.

But still---I was only able to do one summer--intended on more---but, I could'nt (moved to los angeles for my education). Lee, how many more summers do you think you'll do?? Why don't they just offer you FT--LOL--you sound like a really nice person. I duno--I like talking with CP alumni---I think it's very important.

I am usually a really nice person. I don't think it's in my personality to be evil and vindictive; heh, that takes too much energy I could be applying to other more productive things, anyway. I avoid the CP Drama at all costs. (I can be pretty stubborn and opinionated though, depending on if the issue at hand is something I care a lot about -- but I'm willing to give other opinions a chance as long as they'll hear me out, too ^_~).

Heh, me, as full time? I haven't put too much thought into Cedar Point as a lifelong career...currently I'm in school with one year left toward a secondary teaching degree, so I'm hoping to find a teaching job before I look for anything else. From what I hear, the starting salaries for basic managers at the Point aren't much more than what a secondary teacher would make anyway, so I guess in the monetary aspect it would be comparable. I suppose if I can't find a school that's hiring -- in this economy, you never know -- if I was offered a job at the Point I would take it, and probably have a blast, too. ^_^ There are so many people that have their heart set on one specific job, though, and I'm much more realistic; I'll just keep looking until I find something good.
