Chuckwagon??

That's really too bad.. I have fond memories of going in there on a cold fall day, getting warmed up by one of those killer pulled pork sandwiches.

I will also miss this place. It was one of the few places to eat where you could get so half way normal food. It also was reasonably price compaired to some of the other food options. Yea there is a few other places in the park. But other than that, everything is burgers fries and hotdogs.

I went there for the first time a couple weeks ago, I was completely disappointed. My salad wasn't the worst thing in the world, but it was obviously packaged lettuce with a short variety of vegetables. There were two pizzas on the "buffet," and neither the cheese nor pepperoni looked rather appealing. Aside from the small salad section and the two pizzas, there were no other options.

The only good thing about the place is the park memerobilia on the walls. I thought that was pretty cool.

It's been a tough start to 2007 so far in terms of reaction to the quality of food and service.

I'm still miffed about the metal plates.

Promoter of fog.

So rename it Frontier Inn!!! Just a thought. But I will miss Chuckwagon.

RIP MR.SCOTT The ONLY MAYOR OF LIGHTHOUSE

I know this is an old thread, but I'm curious here, is Chuck wagon still as bad as people felt it was back in '07?

It has gotten better in the sense that some of the "western" foods have returned like BBQ pulled pork, mac 'n' cheese, mashed potatoes, and biscuits along with the pizza and salads. The quality of the selections seems to depend on how well they are maintaining the items on the line.

Yeah, but your pizza still sucks... ;)

I think Chuck Wagon is the best value in the park. The salads are huge for that price (at least for CP) and the sides deal is amazing. But as TimChat2 said, it really depends on how well they keep up the line. Sometimes it's kind of sketchy, but most of the time it's great.

I worked there last year during HWeekends and it was pretty good food. They serve more fall weather food during this time of the year. They didn't have pizza last year after HW started. This year could be different though.

My pizza does suck. I wish I still served 1/2 a rotisserie chicken.
