This makes me sad.... I remember when there used to be threads about the x-mas party started 2 weeks after the season ended. Now there is only one, with a simple post. I miss back when everyone would stay in the GreenTree and be in the hallways 24/7... go everywhere as a group. Now people are all spread out at everyone's apts that have moved here for the winter. You really won't see everyone except for at the bar now. Makes me sad, maybe that is why I really don't care so much that it's coming up in a few days. Cedar Point's employee comradery and closeness has faded....

I don't think that it has anything to do with camaraderie or closeness. There are so many more ways to keep in touch, i.e., facebook, myspace, other cpstaff forums, that we don't need to post on here about it! I mean, pretty much everyone knows when the party is, so why do we need to talk about it on here? Just my two cents.

I thought there was a massive thread a little bit ago about planning the Christmas party. Maybe I am mistaken, but I could have sworn there was one.

If only you knew of the forums back in the day. It's just not the same. You used to have to be a 3rd year just to get a shot at being an ATL.... now it's "Hey, you can spell tree!! Have a leadership spot my friend!" Pay and some things about the rules and guidelines of that park have changed. Some for the better, some for the worse.

I see what you mean, Mathew. It just seems like the late 90's and early 2000 years would have been great to work at the park. There seemed to be more dedication and love for the job amongst employees. But, nevertheless, ride crews today still share strong bonds and friendships that make the job an extraordinary experience.

You're a moron. You can't jump on here and try to diss me about how great CP used to be. You know nothing of what it's like to work at CP when it was a plcae that people would commonly work at for 6 or 7 years. You're at one.

I hope everyone had a great time at the Christmas Party, it is truly a shame that so many of us live countless hours away from Cedar Point; or we could have had the biggest Christmas party imaginable, and that would get extremely out of hand really fast lol.
