Choosing a job...

Hi I live in Appleton, WI. I might consider getting a job sometime at CP in a few years. I just have a few questions... First, is it very uncommon for someone that lives far away (like me) to work at CP? Then, do you actually get to pick what rides you work at? Because I would really only be interested in Ride Operations, preferably on the bigger rides...

Thanks

Corey

We have had people from Texas, California, Washington, Flordia and so forth. So ur closer then somepeople. Your first year i am not shure..they just game what was open...they might though not shure. After you been there a year they give you a paper asking where you want to work.. There have been first year people on coasters and new rides. So you got a chance.

MY CRAZY LIFE
WI far? There are folks from places like Poland, Europe and Latin America (my personal favorite ;o) that come to work each year. People come from all over, so it is not uncommon at all.

When you have your interview, you can tell them which ride(s) you'd prefer to work, and they will try to place you there as long as they have open spots. Usually first choice goes to returners, but like Kelly said, there are plenty of newbies on the big coasters. Just make sure that whenever you do decide to apply, make sure it is as early as possible - that will increase your chances of getting placed where you want. Applications usually start being accepted in late December for the upcoming season :)
