Checking in to housing

Hey I have a question for you all I guess. When I go to check into housing will they take me to the room or will they just like give me a key and tell me where to go? Will there be a lot of people at the house that i will just be walking in to or what? that is kinda wiered if they do it that way.

You just get your key and a pointing finger towards your building. It's pretty much up to you. If your roommates are not at work or whatnot, then they'll probably be there to greet you, otherwise you may never see them. I know last year, I didn't meet my 3rd roommate till about the middle of my second week from our schedules.

I know what you mean about feeling kinda wierd just walking into an apartment/dorm that other people live in and saying "Hi, I live here now" but don't worry about it, everyone has to do it and it's not like they'll say anything. Just introduce yourself and get settled and you'll have new friends right off the bat. If you're in an apartment, might wanna knock on your door before going in, wouldn't wanna walk in on your new roomie having sex or something - talk about getting off to an uncomfortable start. ;)

Can you check into housing before going to HR? I'm getting in to Sandusky at about 7am, and after a 13 hr bus journey will want to shower etc before getting my ID picture taken.
