Cheapest Possible Trip

Hello I was wondering the cheapest option for CP. Would it be cheapest to stay at Breakers Express and get discount tickets or stay somewhere else for a night but not have discount tickets. We would only be there for one day and one night. What would be the cheapest possible way to go to CP for a day?

We usually stay at Breakers when we go because of the ticket discounts and it's close to one of the park gates. Plus, parking would be free since you will be staying on site. You wouldn't have to worry about walking through the main parking lot of the park either. You would probably save staying off point but it probably wouldn't be anything huge.

To answer your question...The cheapest possible way would be to drive there and back in a day or sleep in your car somewhere.

The discount you get on tickets for staying at one of Cedar Point's hotels is probably not as big as the savings you get by NOT staying at one of Cedar Point's hotels. The convenience of being on or near the peninsula is the biggest draw for most guests. If you go early in the season or late August before Halloweekends, Breakers Express is usually a good deal. You should shop around. That might be a good enough deal with the ticket discount that you would want to stay there. Be aware that there are MANY hotels and motels in the Sandusky area, it might take a few hours of internet searching even with websites like Expedia and Hotels.com. Good luck!
