Well its pretty disappointing to me as that has always been one of my favorite flats with a shorter line, but I agree that it isn't very surprising.
Thrills Around the Corner!
So the 4 Free fall rides sold. And Demon Drop didn't?

7 TTD rides.....1 Roll Back
3rd train of the Season on MF! 2007
Well, Six Flags was only asking 100K each. Last I knew, Cedar Point was asking 250K.
I'd be sorry to see Chaos go. It's one of my favorite Flats. Though there are still plenty around. I'll just have to get my rides in at another park. Same with Demon Drop.

Making room for that 500ft floorless that will replace DD and Chaos and go behind DT out into the lake tbh. ;)
:(
Personally, Chaos is one of the most thrilling flats I've been on. More so than any Giant Frisbees.
There could be some really fun rides that would fit there, but since Cedar Point probably won't get any used rides they won't come.
Summer was made for a Cedar Point day~
Why was Six Flags only asking 100grand for their free fall? And Cedar Fair 250? my only assumption is quick cash? better condition?
Question: How do you explain the actions of millions of people who wait hours upon hours to be dropped down a hill?
Answer: You don't...
Probably has to do with condition and they want to liquidate assets quickly.

Chaos is one of the best flats out there. Unfortunately, the changes that have been made lately have killed it (manual release). I'll be sad to see it go.

I'll be the first to admit, Chaos isn't for everyone. You either hate it or you love it.
I was never a huge fan of the ride until about 2 years ago, but now I am.
That being said, I'd certainly be disappointed to see it leave the park. Of the smaller flat rides, it's certainly one of the more popular ones. Whenever I talk to people who have visited the park, Chaos, more often than not, comes up as being one of the favorites.
Further more... 5 units?

What other Cedar Fair parks have/had them? *** Edited 12/16/2006 9:51:48 PM UTC by DBCP***

Does Michigan Adventure have one? I never really noticed when I've looked on the park map. I've never been to Michigan Adventure so I wouldn't know. Anyway though I hope Cedar Point keeps Chaos. It doesn't flip you as much as it used to and it takes a while to load and unload, but to me Chaos would be missed.
Michigans Adventer dont have one. They did till it came off its axis and a couple of people had minor injuries. I believe it was the first year that Cedar Fair bought it. They removed it after that.

Answer: You don't...
Yeah Michigans Adventure Does not have one. They did until that nice accident they had. Right after Cedar Fair bought the park.
I did notice those free falls for sale that sold but when you look at the pictures Demon Drop looks 500% better than those on that site that are sold.
