Changing my check-in date?

I'm orginally scheduled to check-in on May 20 but the more I think about it, it would be better for me to check-in on the 21st. I haven't sent in my contract yet so is there any way I can still change this? Or would that just be way too complicated? I don't want to be difficult! It's not a HUGE deal if I go on the 20th, it's just that if I do, then I will have to spend my 21st birthday (May 19) driving 12 hours to Ohio. :( Any suggestions would be appreciated. Thanks!

Actually Alyssa, I had the same problem this year. I won't go into details but i will say that finals week caused the same problem. All you have to do is contact the hiring contact on your contract and they can have HR send out a new contract.

I'm gonna guess that they might not be as willing to change your starting date if it's only because you'll be traveling on your birthday.
