I apologize in advance if this kind of topic is getting on anyone's nerves, but I'm just asking to see if I'm getting my hopes up. I applied a few days ago for a Lifeguard position but I've seen around here that only 100 or so guards will get hired for the season. So what are my chances of even getting a call after applying this late?
Thanks in advance! =P
Not that fast. The park needs anywhere between 110 and 140 lifeguards. They will actually hire almost double that because of the amount of employees who will not show up, decide to cancel or will not make it through lifeguard class. So your chances of making it are actually good.
Alright so it had been two weeks since I sent in the application. On Jobnet it still says "We expect to fill most positions by May 1st.If any of our hiring managers need additional information regarding your application, you will be contacted by email or by phone."
I called on Friday after reading some posts on here and when I called the only thing I seemed to be able to do was schedule a phone interview with a manager. Yet when I called some guy transferred me to park ops even though I planned on working in soak city and when I got transferred all I got was a voice mail. Not expecting that, I left some voice mail asking if my first choice could be set to life guard in soak city and any information on the availability of the position would be welcome. So now my question is, should I call again later in the week and if so who should I ask to talk and what should I say? I know if I get the interview I'm set, just need the chance =)
Julia Paugh probably, There are a few different people hiring for SC so just be patient and wait like a week if they dont call back sooner. It takes a little longer for people in SC to get calls back sometimes because most of the people are working at Castaway right now.
