CedarPoint.com overwhelmed

The announcement of #16 caused traffic that was so heavy, they whole site is having problems. Anyone that did the online application, and there contracts haven't been sent out yet, may possibly be delayed or recive errored contracts. I hope they sent mine out before thursday. :)

I wonder how many hits they've got since the announcment. It's crazy that they got so much response.

Ya i wounder how many people went to www.cedarpoint.com at 6:30am Thursday? hehehehehe

How do you know this about contracts having errors? From the little I know about computers and the Internet, I would assume that once you submit your application, it would be saved into a database on the Cedar Point park network -- it doesn't just float around out there somewhere in the Web. Just because their web site is having difficulty doesn't mean that anything in their databases would be corrupted, and since contracts aren't sent out over the Internet, but typed up, printed and mailed (unless something has drastically changed) I have no idea why there would be any mistake. If you submitted one today, however, I could understand that problems transferring it over the Internet through their site might have caused errors.

I'm just saying this so that everyone out there applying for this summer won't worry unnecessarily. Have trust that the Point's technology is up-to-date and that their technical assistants are well-trained to handle the situation. As well, you always have the opportunity to look over your contract and call and ask questions before you sign it and mail it back; if there was a mistake, it could be easily changed.

Well I never recieved a phone call about Johnny Rockets and I have begun to worry. I called delilah today and they were definitely having problems with the computer or atleast it seemed to be that way. She couldnt find my information but she says she will call me on Monday to talk everything over. My Johnny Rockets Dream Will Come True!!!
