Cedar Points Next New Coaster?

i think we'll see "new" trains on CCMR before they take it out. That would help it out a lot. As for a new coaster, i think it will be in the BS plaza after Cedars is gone and a re-route of perimeter road. As for they manufacturer, I think they stay away from Intamin because of all the issues they've had with them. They do make great coasters, but CP needs reliable coasters. I personally would love to see a record breaking B&M Flyer. And that would actually open up another option, take out CS and replace it with a flyer that flies over the midway like CS does currently.

I would love a B&M hyper coaster. I personally would be fine with one replacing Magnum, but I know lots up people would be in uproar if that ever happened.

Here's what I'd like to see Cedar Point do long term coaster and ride wise. Does it have flaws? yes, but that's for Cedar Point to work out on their own.

2014: Trend setting dark ride

2015: I'd love to see Cedar Point build an S&S Free Fly. Their's a concept model that supposedly has better capacity. It could go in the Kiddie Kingdom and be a Gatekeeper Jr.

2015 or 2016: A new Kiddie Kingdom (with some of it's old rides) could go into the CCMR location. I also think that spot would be cool if you add something similar to what Silver Dollar City has with their Tom & Huck’s RiverBlast.

2017: If a RiverBlast ride is built, that could give Cedar Point the flexibility to demolish Shoot the Rapids if it continues to have problems. If not I guess you could take out Thunder Canyon (but I personally think that's an under rated ride). I think either of those spots would be great for an epic world record shattering drop coaster, or something similar to Takabisha. (If neither of those locations work out, I guess you could build this in the old dorms site or that long rumored spot next to Raptor and Blue Streak.)

2018: Since this would be the 40th anniversary of Gemini, I think it would be great to call in the boys at Rocky Mountain, and have them do some crazy Iron Horse treatment to the ride. Since Gemini isn't a true woodie, and Six Flags Great America is rumored to have the treatment done on their racing coaster, I think this logistically could work.

2019: BOARDWALK EXPANSION FEATURING 400 FOOT TALL WOODEN LOOPING RACING SUSPENDED ROLLER COASTER WITH 150 MPH LAUNCH!!!

A lot of you probably heard about Dollywood's new coaster for next year. If you haven't, it's a dual launch family coaster. I could see CP getting something like this. Make it mine themed, or maybe even keep the name Cedar Creek Mine ride and replace the old one with a new one like Dollywood's new ride.

Also, a B&M flying coaster could fit in Corkscrew's spot.

Other than the uproar from many people (including myself), it isn't realistic for Cedar Point to remove Magnum considering how many rides it gives each year. It gives way more rides than Millennium and Top Thrill.

I don't think this has ever brought up before, but what if Mantis were to leave and was to be replaced by a GCI woodie? Also, what if Thunder Canyon were to move/be rebuilt to Adventure Island and become a dinosaur raft ride. Then in the spot of TC, a new awesome themed log ride like Timber Mountain Log Ride at Knott's. Also, since STR would be gone for Dinosaurs Alive: The Ride, the spot where the first half sat, a themed/dark Eurofighter, like Mystery Mine at Dollywood could be built. Why just tell you when I could show you?? :D

Why would they remove a very new StR? That would be a terribly stupid thing to do.

To say nothing of the fact that you cannot really "move" TC. It's a concrete trough.

Rcoaster10, I know I've told you before, but I seriously love all your ideas, and your awesome photoshopping really brings them to life and shows that they're actually realistic.

That's my dream to work at the park. Hopefully I can take Rob Deckers job when he retires. It will still be a few years before I could ever take that position though. Haha (I'm only 14)

It's threads like this that make me not want to post on Pointbuzz as much as I used to.

I like these threads and seeing what people think the park will get in the future or at least what they're dreams are. I find it fun.

Isn't this a fan site about Cedar Point? Is it bad to talk about what we might see CP get next? I thought that's what this website is for.

We understand that, but it has been stated before that this site isn't a place for wish lists. Also, forgive us if it gets annoying reading the same topics over and over again.

No one's forcing you to read this thread. If this topic keeps getting brought up, then it's something that people clearly want to talk about
