Cedar Points Classic Cyclone!
I remember that area when it was nothing but Trokia and Chaos and a whole lot of trees. It's amazing how they just knocked all that out so quickly.
I want to keep this topic going, this is a good topic and want to keep it at the top. Anybody have any creative Ideas?
I really hope that some lessons are taken from Voyage & Hades. As much as I'm not a fan of hybrids, some really cool things could be done using tunnels and a hybrid that cruises around the park, starting near DT/DD.

Do you think maybe if we made this coaster, we could make a dive that goes under the parking lot a little bit? I really like that element. I think the new cyclone though deserves the 90degree turns like what Voyager is doing next year. I still think we should bring back a little bit of cyclones traditional layout, but make it taller, and longer with todays elements.
Yeah, tunnels can be created at CP, but not as easily as other parks. CP has a pretty high water table, making it necessary to create 'tubs' (made of concrete) around any underground elements, provided they go below the water table.
Creating a coaster that utilized areas such as the parking lot, walkways and beachfront would allow for a substantial coaster without taking up too much space.

I was thinking maybe if Cedar Point removes Demon Drop this season, there is a lot of room there to build on. What if Cedar Point decides to actually remove Disaster Transport like after next season? All of the sudden you have like 30 acres or something like that. You can build a new generation cyclone in that amount of land.
In my opinion I'm thinking wishful thinking here. What if we get 2 coasters in 2007? And one of those coasters would replace Disaster Transport? Say we don't get a coaster this off-season, but we get 2 coasters in 2007, wouldn't that be a heck of a package? I would love to see The Cyclone come back if that happens.
