Thats actually not a bad phrase to use for advertising, if it weren't for Katrina.

Three things you need to fix anything in the universe: duct tape, WD-40, and a hammer. Duct tape if it moves and it shouldn't, WD-40 if it doesn't move and should, and the hammer as the last resort.
I don't know why every one wants a twister coaster cp has one in the back of the park called mean streak. What cp needs to do is to put in a good airtime coaster like the comet from Chystal Beach.
See I like that picture of the coment, but I had another idea! Why not combine the classic cyclone and the comet together a little bit? That might make one insane ride. I still like the idea I said yesterday, and I'm sticking to that one more.
I would like to see a taller, faster, and maybe even longer version of the cyclone, but at the same time I would want it to have a similar layout and look to the original. My only concern with Gravity Group building it is, they are known for very smooth wooden coasters. A cyclone isn't supposed to be smooth though. There should be a little roughness to it. Not as rough as Mean Streak, but just a little bit. As much as I would love to see a GG woodie come to CP, I think GCI would be a better choice for a new Cyclone.

Well I think GCI built Villian, so if thats the case you would see that roughness in the ride. I really like your idea FrontierDale. My only question is does Cedar Point themselves have the layout of the Classic Cyclone?
I'm not sure if they do or not, but if not they could use old photos of the ride to piece together something similar to it. There's some good photos of the ride in Queen of America's Watering Places, and they probably have some in their archives as well. The layout doesn't have to be identical, just similar.
Point Xtreme
CP really does not have a rollercoaster that could be considered a twister. In order for a coaster to be called a twister you have to have lateral g's. IMO Wildcat is the closest thing they have got.
As far as out and backs go CP has enough aren't Blue Streak and Magnum enough?

Don't forget MF... although atypical, is an out-&-back.

Both Mantis and Raptor have good Lateral Gs at the end. Especially on the helix parts of both rides. If Cedar Point could add the Classic Cyclone, I'd love to see a couple new elements thrown in there that have already been used on Hades and the new Voyager. I'd love to see them throw in 90 degree turns a couple times with a long tunnels and maybe even a loop.
Yeah, I'm really impressed with Voyager. It looks like its going to be a really exciting ride. The use of tunnels seems well implemented into the landscape, which is something that I've always felt CP lacked in.

I think Cedar Point could build a good layout from GCI that would fit in good with the area where Disaster Transport currently sits now. Maybe throw in a 90 degree turn right along the beach and then somewhere during the course you could have another 90 degree turn in a tunnel. So if you throw in a lot of the original layout along with todays elements you have a Really Awesome coaster. I'd throw in taller Lift Hill though compared to what we saw back in that era.
A descent footprint for a GCI is possable. Though I think a little bit more room would be needed.....not much though.

So long as their layout is creative, they could put one in where DT resides. It would have to travel around the area a bit, but it could actually be pretty cool for the area, especially if they were to build tunnels under some walkways.
Brandon
Sure they would (who wouldn't?), but that doesn't mean its all that unlikely. Remember, building a coaster on a lagoon is tricky, too.

Hey what about underground tunnels? I think that would work out well. Maybe for the first drop, maybe drop under ground Fifthteen feet or so which would create some awesome speed.

What lagoon?
