Cedar Point Wednesday 6/4?

my friends and I are supposed to go to cp tomorrow, but I see the weather gives a 50% chance of rain, but it does say isolated. as i live in cleveland, and have been to cp numerous times a summer, I know storms can blow over or not come at all, especially close to the lake. should we still go tomorrow?

It's kind of hard for us to tell you what you should do. That's really up to your group. As has been stated numerous times on this site, rainy days can either be really great, or really bad. It all just depends.

From a strictly weather perspective. The SPC puts Sandusky in a slight (15%) risk of Severe Weather tomorrow. The current NWS forecast actually says 80% of occasional showers and storms. So chances are you will get rained on... how much is completely up in the air.

A lot of the best days at CP are rainy days. Because the rain turns a lot of people away from the park, so it will probably be much less crowded. And even if it is a full park, a lot of people leave when it starts to rain. So when it does let up, a lot of the coasters will be walk ons.

I have said this before, but a lot of my best times at CP were in the rain. :) In fact everytime it drizzles, it always reminds me of Cedar Point.

If you do go, just make sure your bring a poncho or maybe an extra change of clothes.

"You wanna, you gotta, you hafta hold on, Cedar Point...HOLD ON!"

I'd go, even with a chance of rain, many people may decide to hold off, and it's not going to ain all day therefore you should see pretty short line waits. I tend to go when there's rain in the forecast because the park is usually not too busy.

11 years.

I enjoy some rain because how many days does it actually rain alllll day?

I like rain because all the rides shut down usually thus giving me a good time to go get some lunch.

On top of that it keeps the crowds away like mentioned.

I live in the Akron-Cleveland area and I'm going tomorrow. The weather is very unpredictable in Ohio. It just changed in the past hour. Right now it is calling for isolated t-storms with a 30% chance for Sandusky; very good chance of small crowds tomorrow.
