Cedar Point trip-the beginning

To begin the 2008 season, i called cedar point reservations and reserved

my room for memorial day weekend and halloweekend. After speaking

to the reservation person, i went to the post office and mailed my

deposit. Within three days, cedar point sent me a e-mail confirming

my reservations and deposit recieved. This is part one of my cedar point

trip's for 2008. As you can tell,i am very excited and cannot wait.

I am sure, i am not the only one.

Well my first step was taken the first weekend in Oct when I bought my PP.
The next thing will be when I find out when CP begins processing my pass and I make the trip to do so (mainly so I can go to KI once before CP opens.) Then on May 10th, around 6:30 Ill get up, get ready and be off to be at the Magnum Gate for the 9am Point Perks opening :).

I have a platinum pass, which was purchased at kings island. I will be going to kings island opening day and the first weekend of may.

I'll be at Kings Island opening day also. I only went there once last year wasnt much fun by myself though think I left at 3.

I go to parks by myself all the time. That doesn't bother me. I also

stay till closing. I always have a nearby hotel. At kings island, i

suggest the kings island resort.

I'm thinking of renting a hotel room for Halloweekends (on Halloween night and Saturday night), should I book now?

Also, I'm planning on going in April to process my CP pass so I don't have a ton of people that are standing in line for processing on opening day.

I do go alone but the first time i was at Kings Island it wasnt much fun. I will go alone this year before Cedar Point's opening day since my friend will probably be working on sundays when im there. I love going alone to Cedar Point i have lots of fun there alone.

In the past few years, what have crowds been like at Cedar Point on opening day, and do the resorts allow guests to come in the night before the park opens?

I can't speak for the crowd size, but the resorts are open for business May 9th.
