Cedar Point Soudtrack

While I know similar topics have been discussed in the past, I decided to start a new topic to specifically discuss this:

I would like to put together some sort of Cedar Point soundtrack, which I could listen to in the car on the way to the Point, and and when I simply want to listen to Cedar Point music.

I currently have a playlist with the MF Techno from GTTP, an old jingle from the park, and "The Winner" & "Ready to Go."

I am looking for more more music to add to that list, and would like your suggestions. I preferable want music I can buy from the iTunes Music Store, as that would save me money over having to buy CDs. Also, if there are any jungles for CP online, that would be great too.

If I get enough good suggestions, I can try to publish an iMix, and if possible, post a link here (if allowed).

Thanks ahead of time,

Sam

Johnny Rockets music is my problem. I have a hard time differenciating between park music and Johnny Rockets music.

I would like only park music, if possible.

Thanks so far for the suggestions,

Sam

Funky Town...Whenever I hear that song I immediately think of CP, anybody else agree? (I'm not sure if that's the actual name)
I remember "Supersonic" by Oasis, "All The Small Things" by Blink 182 and (unfortunately) 'n Sync's "Dirty Pop" in the MF line a few years ago. Also "Ironic" by Alanis, "You Can Call Me Al" by Paul Simon and "All I Wanna Do" by Sheryl Crow, all from Mantis' usually long line. :) "Days Go By" from Dirty Vegas and "Holiday" by Madonna comes to mind from Magnum's line. Of course during Halloweekends you got "Werewolves of London" by Warren Zevon and "Thriller" by you know who being piped in all over the park.

Dragster Launches-52

Given the times of day that I usually get into CP, I always (and I mean always) catch Funky Town playing by Maggie. I can't hear the song without thinking of CP.

Laura

Definately use Roller Coaster, by the Red Hot Chili Peppers. I don't think I've ever heard it in the park, but there are many references to coasters in the song.

"You make me get that funny feeling in my tummy..."

2005/2006: Cedar Point - Millennium Force
2007/2008/2009: Walt Disney World - Magic Kingdom - Tomorrowland Speedway
2008: Hard Rock Park - Maximum RPM! Opening Supervisor
2008/2009: Universal Orlando - Men in Black: Alien Attack Team Leader, Guest Services Coordinator

I don't know about you, but i've heard a lot of beach boy songs playing on the midways. So everytime i hear a song from the beach boys, i think of cedar point.

Smoking Marijuana isn't a bad thing or even a good one, like everything else, its what you make of it.

Me too. I think "Love Rollercoaster" does also remind me of CP. *** Edited 5/23/2004 5:22:36 PM UTC by TTD 120mph***

Just think though if cedar point actually made like a mix cd with all the songs that are most frequently played through out the park all the people like us that have no way of getting that music and really want it would buy it. Personally I would buy. What about everyone else
I would definately buy one. Then i would be able to listen to those songs any time i wanted to, and that would be the coolest thing. I wish Cedar Point would do that, i believe they would make a good sum of money off of the cd's. Even if you don't like, or never have been to the Point, the songs would still be good for listening to.

If I ever get to it, I will publish an iMix on the iTunes Music Store, and you should be able to buy the music from there. The iTunes Music Store is where I have gotten some of my Cedar Point music, and I will probably buy more, once I have some more money.

I know that the soundtrack repeats itself and last year I believe I had it timed to every 3-4 hours. In the Midway areas of the park, besides Frontiertown, I know they play, "Love Don't come easy," and "Fun, Fun, Fun," by the Beach Boys. Oh, and they play that song the Beatles sang, "Do you want to know a secret." In the Raptor line, I always hear "Uptown Girl." For years they have played songs in the Mantis line that include, "Thats what I like about you," "My Sharona," "Breakfast at Tiffany's," "Its like Rain," and "Feelin Lucky Today." For the Top Thrill Dragster, they play "Ready to Go," of course, "Hot Rod Licoln," "Higher and Higher" by Elvis, and "Hang on Sloopy." During Halloweekends the "Halloween" theme is echoing through the park, along with "Spooky" and "Witchy Woman." I've also heard "Ghoostbusters" in the past. At the main gate, both "Proud to be an American," and "Ain't no cure for the Summertime Blues" are heard. I am not that familiar with the Frontiertown soundtrack cause I'm not a big country fan, but I know I have heard "This Kiss."
whats millenium forces techno song called?
Please see this thread for info on the MF theme techno.

-Paul

Really the only thing I remeber is "Fun, Fun, Fun" by the beach behind Breakers playing ALL of the time.

Also, the Halloween theme song during Halloweekends.

EDIT- I think some of you are just naming songs you here in Raptor and MF queues. The DJ can play almost any song, so some of those aren't all "Cedar Point" music. *** Edited 5/29/2004 6:39:14 PM UTC by Topthrill420***

FYI: Ready to go is song by Republica
