I thought it was "RIDE ON Snoopy", not HANG on snoopy. And yes, I realize the original song was HANG on Sloopy.
I called the Point the other day and the Ride on Snoopy song was their on-hold music. LOL!!
Hi again,
I ended up recording the youtube audio to mp3 and the quality, while not great, should be good enough to get a chuckle out of my friends on our way to the Point. If I find a better version, I'll let it be known here.
On an additional note, I realize that people can get sick of the same questions over and over, but I was wondering if anyone could maybe point me in the right direction to snag some CP ride spiels? Since the search is down, I haven't been able to find any links by scrolling through the first 20 or so pages. I have also failed to find anything on google, so if anyone could help, I think they'd be fun (at least the first time ;) ) to have for the trip as well.
Thanks again for all of your feedback!
Do a search on Google by typing: "site:www.pointbuzz.com" without the quotes, followed by your search term(s).

Thanks DBCP! That's something I should have known, but somehow had forgotten. I'll scroll through them and see what I can find.
I have some of the old Millennium Force spiels on my computer. If you can't find what you want, I can give them to you.
Next CP Trip: June 9th
Go Cubs!
I would love to have the Millennium Force spiels! My e-mail is TOP420THRILL120@aol.com
Thank You!

I always think of "Ready to Go" (Republica) as kind of a Cedar Point song (TTD). Of course it would have to be immediately followed by the "Hands Down" spiel. I always think of Dragster everytime I hear it.
Back in 95 I had a promotional video that had a song with lyrics something like - "Cedar Point will Move you, will move you ... Get to the Point." I used to watch it over and over again. That and the Raptor video with the Fighter pilot guy.
Beware the Kraken
I originally had this over in the TTD forum, but I feel its more suited to this thread...
With as many times as it has been posted on this forum I think CP could make a killing on some sort of compilation CD.
I know that artist royalties and copyrights would prevent a lot of songs from being on there, but they could at least put some of the station music, spiels, and some of the CP songs (come on, get on and hang on snoopy). In addition I think they could get Ready to Go on there, and perhaps The Winner by Crystal Method.... Call it "Music of the Point" or something like that... I think it would do very well... Heres a sample track listing. The way I envision it, they would put out a new one every few years with new ride songs, and new Live E music.
1. Morning Spiel with National Anthem
2. God Bless America
3. Come on, Get On
4. Hang on Snoopy
5. The Winner - Crystal Method
6. Millennium Force Theme (w/ Lady Spiel)
7. Keep Arms Down Spiel fading into Ready to Go
8. Song from "Rock the House"
9. Song from "Divine Divas"
10. Song from "Livin' in America"
11. God Bless the USA - Lee Greenwood
12. End of the Night Spiel
It could be better if CP could get the rights to put more of the midway music on the CD, but this would be a cool start. I would buy it just as a unique souvenir, especially if it had cool liner notes and good album art.... Maybe Ill mess around with the idea in photoshop tonight... hmmm
Ripcord Crew 2002 / MF Crew 2004
I'd be happy with a CD just with all the Cedar Point jingles/songs...

The Dirtbombs-Cedar Point 76'Randomly Found it ;)...
Is that really a song about Cedar Point?
technically yes, its a song about being at the cedar point arcade and spotting an attractive young female.
"Jim wrote the lyrics, and I wrote the music. We both agreed one of our favorite places at Cedar Point is the arcade" - Mick Collins, the Dirtbombs
EDIT - As pointed out often by my friend, some may find comical the reference to the time when Corkscrew's line was long enough as to lose someone in *** Edited 8/4/2006 12:29:43 AM UTC by Adernaline***
