So, we decided we would make one final trip to Cedar Point before the year is over. This was our third and last trip sadly. So we get to the park and it was very crowded and we pretty much knew the crowds would be big, so we enter the park to a great song called "Get to the Point!" which I love and go to Raptor first which we saw was borken down and there was a crain on the lift. So we hit up Blue Streak first, about a 30 minute wait and it was a great ride as always. Then we walked over to DT and saw it doesn't open to 11 so we didn't want to wait so we walked back to the Iron Dragon which was about a 20 minute wait, we sat in the front row and had a pretty good ride.
Next up was the train, we took it past Maverick and saw it was down, so we rode CCMR, which was a fun, small ride as always, then we decided to ride Gemini, which had an unusually long wait, but we waited and we sat in the front and it was a very fun ride as always! Next up was Magnum and it was a 1 hour wait, which went by pretty fast so we got on and it was fun, a little rough though, but oh well, I still love it. Next up we wanted to ride PWE, but while in line they had to repair the boats so we left and went for lunch at Macoroni Grille, whichhad great pizza as always. This poor waitress though, kept dropping everything like plates and waters. I felt so embaressed for her (the waitress wasn't Brittany that is always there, anyone else see her working all the time in there?) I dunno why, I always remember her. So after lunch we rode Skyride and then rode the train again with the intention of riding Maverick and it was open. YAY. So we get in line and the line is all the way at the basketball game, we waited and had a great ride as always! Just love this ride.
So next we wanted to ride MS, but it was an hour wait so we went in a gift shop and looked around while waiting for the train and ended up getting on back to the midway to ride DT and Space Sprial. DT is a great ride in my opinion, it's pretty fast and has some fast turns to it. If only the theming worked during the ride, although I think it's kind of fun to ride in the dark. Next up was dinner at Johnny Rockets, which was good with ok service, then we noticed Raptor finally opened after what? Like 3 days? The wait was about 2 hours, so we said no way, so we took the Sky Ride back to WildCat and rode that and then left around 9.
Notes:
Park was very clean, as always of course.
Bathrooms were clean, although they ran out of paper towels at times.:(
Very crowded day.
Maverick, Raptor, MaXair, and Thunder Canyon were all closed and Maverick and Raptor ended up opneing back up. MaXair I know is closed for a while andI think TC is closed for setting up for WC.
All in all, a pretty god day!
Yesterday was a really crowded day. Last night, I saw part of a rehersal in Red Garter. There was a notice on the bottom of the tv's that food service was still available.

I was there and rode millennium force 2 timesduring the morning ert. Then walked over to top thrill dragster and saw the mechanics working on it so i waited anyways finally after a few hours it opened got off that and rode magnum and then decided to leave. But i was ok with the time i was there still had some fun
We also went yesterday and noticed how crowded it was.We took our 5 year old, noted all the rides down (including 1 arm of Skyhawk in the evening) and were thankful we were going for her. We spent 8 hours riding rides and didn't get everything rode. She loved Troika (rode it twice) and finally got to ride Iron Dragon. I think we have a future enthusiast on our hands, much to her grandparents horror. Overall a great day, one that Ashley will soon not forget.

I <3 HalloWeekends!
Sounds fun, but insanely busy. I've never waited more than 20 minutes for Magnum.
It's called Millennium Force, not "Millenium" Force. Thanks.
He said "as always" 6 times.
If all I rode all day was Blue Streak, Iron Dragon, Maverick, Magnum, Gemini, CCMR, and Wildcat, I'd be hugely disappointed. No TTD? No MF? If I could only do one ride all day it would have to be one of those two no matter what the wait. WT should have been on the list too.
It was hugely crowded by noon. I never bail as early as I did. How big was the crowd? Just curious...full lot at noon is huge for me IMO. Glad you had a nice day though!
^^For a really busy day, that's a decent lineup. Just being in the park is fun. I've never been to the park on a hugely busy day, but if I ever am I hope I too would be able to get on that many rides.
We'll miss you MrScott and Pete
I expected a large crowd Sunday, but it larger than I thought it would be. It might have been the biggest crowd I saw all year. It seemed more crowded than July 4th. I don't know about Saturday crowds as we tend to avoid Saturdays.
From Sky Ride we saw the main lot was full and plenty of cars in the lot on the marina side at mid afternoon.
A few wait times;
Blue Streak (Noon) 1 hour 15 min.
Calypso (Noon) full queue
Power Tower (1pm) 30 Min.
Top Thrill Dragster (1pm) Lined up out of the queue down the midway past the bleachers back to the station. I don't know the wait time.
Corkscrew (1pm) 1 hour 15 min.
Magnum (1pm) 1 hour 30 min.
Monster (1pm) full queue
Maverick (1:30) Lined up out of the queue past the Roundup and past the Guessing Game. I don't know the wait.
Millenium Force (2:30) 1 hour 45 min
Wicked Twister (4pm) 45 min.
The lines at the Roundup where 10 deep at 2pm.
The stand under the TTD bleachers was 5 deep at 1pm.
The lines were much shorter after 7pm. Blue Streak was down to 30 min. Magnum 45 min.
Still a fun day. the weather was perfect.
It seems to me that from the entrance sign, Maverick's wait is about 2 hours. So it sounds like it was anywhere between 2h15 to 2h30.

From the entrance sign, Maverick's wait is approx. 1 1/2 hours.
But the crew was pushing them through on Sunday. Maverick was down mechanical til around 1pm, but once it opened, the line moved at lightning speeds.
I was in line around 3:30, and it was out of the queue, past Roundup and all the way back to Guessing Game, and I was on the ride in about 1 1/2 hours. I was quite impressed.
TTD's line on Sunday around 1pm was only out in the midway back to the station because it had just opened around 12:30. The wait really wasn't that bad then. And later, around 5pm, it was still a little over an hour.
Those wait times are unbelievable! For me, I need to be riding rides in order to be having fun. "Just being in the park" doesn't quite cut it. I guess that's why I only go in the middle of the week in May, June, or late August.
Eh, I appreciate Cedar Point for all the cool attractions that it has but I still go to ride the coasters, flat rides, and the train (yeah, I'm still a little kid at heart). If the park was more along the lines of Busch Gardens or Disney then maybe I could just enjoy the atmosphere. But like TerraCoaster said, I stick to May, June, and late August for CP trips.
It used to be the same for me as well. But now as long as it isn't 100 out and humid I don't have any problem with just being there.

101 on Magnum and counting...

Only true CP fans can appreciate just being in the park.;)
Speaks for me. Unfortunately my boys aren't into delighting in my happy place & I'm still whining to get them back up this weekend. :(
Just an FYI CPBoy; Macaroni grill is actually a different restaurant. The park has a place called simply, Macaronis. I liked the pizza there this year as well. :)
