How much do you love road trips?: Adore them :)
Have you ever been to Cedar Point?: waaay too many times...I worked there for 4 years
Current residence: Toledo, Ohio..soon to be Rossford.
Distance from Sandusky, Ohio: approximately 1 hour..(64 miles or so)
Mode of Transportation: 2009 Hyundai Accent
Rte 2 or Turnpike?: turnpike.....but if the weather is nice and I'm going for Twilight hours...than Rte 163 along the Lake through Port Clinton, etc. :)
How Much Money Should You Take To Be Comfortable?: Enough for a full tank of gas, about $30 or so for food & drink, and then extra if you want to play games, buy souveniers, taffy, etc.
Things to Pack in Your Car for Road Trip: sunglasses, suntan lotion, money, wallet, first aid kit, AAA card, cooler packed with food, magazines, cell phone, CDs, blanket, pillow, etc.
Favorite Road Trip Food: Snapple or Arizona iced teas, fruit juices, cheese and sausage tray, Wheat Thins, Veggie Thins.
Any Final Stops Before You "Really" Leave?: My friends and I usually leave very early and get breakfast beforehand. It's usually a pack of bagels and cream cheese from Panera or Tim Horton's.
Favorite Stops Along The Way: rest areas 'cuz I pee a lot. Bonus points if they have a Cinnabon or Starbucks.
Favorite Sites in Sandusky Besides Cedar Point: Tofts ice cream factory...mmmm!!
Have You Ever Worked At Cedar Point?: for 4 years- Games, Housing, Live Shows.
Favorite Cedar Point Memories: WAY too many to type.
Favorite Cedar Point Food: Of course...the french fries!!!
Favorite Cedar Point Restaurant: The now defunct Boathouse
Favorite Cedar Point Rides: Raptor and now defunct White Water Landing
Favorite Cedar Point Attractions: the former Centennial Theater..have a lot of great memories from there.
Have You Ever Stayed at a Cedar Point Resort Hotel?: No,..but worked at Hotel Breakers.
Funniest or Scariest Urban Legend You've Heard About the Park: Supposedly a room at Breakers is haunted because a girl hung herself there in the '60's. People would unexplainably check out in the middle of the night and say "You wouldn't even believe me if I told you". Well when I cross-trained in Housekeeping..we had to go in that room..you definitely felt the presence.
Worst Memory of Cedar Point: My roommate and I (both in supervisory positions) were being discriminated against and our boss refused to research the issue.
Most Embarassing Memory of Cedar Point: using the Women's restroom and realizing it 'as' I walked out of the stall.
Favorite Childhood Memory of Cedar Point: winning a stuffed turtle at the Birthday Game!
Ideal People to Go to Cedar Point With: people who have a lot of patience and can make good, witty conversation with you while you're waiting in the long lines.
Things You Wish Cedar Point Would Improve: overall theming/beverage pricing
Things You Wish Cedar Point Would Have?: more "theming" in their rides, queue lines, uniforms, etc....ala Disney.
Things You Wish Cedar Point Would Remove?: besides the white trash guests and the parking fee?
Perfect Cedar Point Ride Idea: Hmm..I'd just have to go with something tame. C'mon...I miss the "Pirate Ride"!!
Perfect Cedar Point Attraction Idea: a cross between Sea World's "Manta" with large aquariums/tanks incorporated into the ride and an interactive dark ride.
Perfect Cedar Point Merchandise Idea: Take Home CP lifeguards!!
Perfect Cedar Point Marketing Scheme: advertise nationally on primetime. A tie in with Ohio related "GLEE" would be cool.
Perfect Cedar Point Hospitality Scheme: lower the prices and add more theming-especially involving the Boardwalk & Lake activities.
By 3pm, What Have You Done at Cedar Point?: Ridden maybe "1/2" the rides, seen a show and ate lunch and drink a beer or have a picnic on the beach, got a pretty good sunburn going, and need to sit down!
By 10pm, What Have You Done at Cedar Point?: See above PLUS have blisters on my feet, ate very small dinner, getting my place for the laser light show, and then heading home!
Do You Stop Anywhere On the Way Home?: Sometime Club X if its Mondays or Thursdays or Toft's Ice Cream Factory on Rte 6...since they're open til like 11:30.
Are You Planning On Going To Cedar Point This Summer?: yes..I have a Platinum Pass.
With Whom?: Anyone willing to put up with me.
Do You Plan To Stay Overnight?: Probably not, but would like to....
