I am heading out to CP tomorrow with my youth group. I have a Platinim pass for Kings Island and i know that KI is not doing unlimited soft drinks for 7 bucks. Is Cp doing anything like this. Are there any other benefits?
Note that I saw a family trying to use their KI Platinum Pass for the "Buy one game, get one FREE at the front games on the Main Midway" over the July 4th weekend at CP. The kid working the game was reading the fine print on the back of the pass aloud. In other words he wasn't aware of the perk. He did let them use it after he read all that. In fact I'm going to email CP about this now that I think about it so they're all on board. CP does have the most perks of any park by far though.
I got my season pass at Kings dominion, VA because that park is closer. Will I be able to take advantage of the perks at cedar point? I will also be going to Kings Island.
I'll be back!
It is a platinum, but the small print on the back of the card reads "Park perks and privillages are only valid at Kings Dominion and are not valid at any other Cedar Fair Entertainment Company Park."
I'll be back!
Ok....my pass says that the perks are only available to KI...can i still get into CP an hr early for ERT.
If it is a Platinum Pass you get all the benefits that each park gives to PP holders. So you will get early entry, as well as all the other discounts that PP holders get.

cool but that still doesnt explain why on the back of the pass it says "-Park perks and privillages are only valid at Kings Island and are not valid at any other Cedar Fair Entertainment Company Park."
Thank you corn4ahead I thought I was the only one not getting it. I have recieved this letter http://www.kingsdominion.com/DOCs/08cf_platinum_guide.pdf ; however I would feel a lot more comfortable if it said "Your Platinum Pass, reguardless of where it was processed, is valid for all the Perks availible at all of the Cedar Fair parks", on this letter or at Cedar Points web site. If a cedar point worker reads this line "Park perks and privillages are only valid at Kings Dominion and are not valid at any other Cedar Fair Entertainment Company Park." to me while I am at Cedar Point what could I do?
I'll be back!

^ I wish so badly I could say beam me up Kinsley and I would be at the point. I can only make the 8 hour drive once this season. At least I will have 5 days to find out.
I'll be back!
I just called cedar point and she said "it just says to show you platinum pass to get the perks, it doesn't say anything about having to be purchased at a certain park". She was pretty certain I would be able to use my platinum pass that was processed at kings dominion to get the the two for skyride perk at cedar point. She was not a 100% though. I have been trying to e-mail cedar point about this but i always get an error message.
I'll be back!
My point was that you're going to the park whether or not you get the Perks, correct? So what difference does it make? Either they work or they don't, and no amount of discussion will change that fact.
It will make a difference on if I choose to go out of my way to eat at certain places or not. It may also make a difference if I go to challange park or not. I work at a fireplace store and it's our off season so I have the time to try to get my answers now instead of waiting until I get there. If I get the perks or not I know I will have a great time but I might go about my day a little differently if I know what perks are availible to me.
I'll be back!
Your Platinum Pass, regardless of what park you purchased it from, is valid for all Platinum-level benefits at every park.
For example, if you have a Kings Island Platinum Pass and you want to come to a Cedar Point ride night, you are welcome to do so. Likewise, if you have a Cedar Point Platinum Pass and want to take advantage of a Platinum discount at Carowinds, you are free to do so.
The Platinum Pass Benefit Guide outlines every park's Platinum benefits.
