Cedar Point of Guinness wrong? or both right?

Counting the rides on the SFGAdv web site, including the rides in the kiddie areas, comes to 51. Who knows where they think the extra 20 comes from, but they are not listed on the web site.

I'd rather be in my boat with a drink on the rocks,
than in the drink with a boat on the rocks.

in my hands i have the guiness world records 2002, it states:

Cedar Point Amusement Park in Sandusky, Ohio, which dates back to 1870, has 68 rides - more than any other amusement park or theme park. This park also has the most rollercoasters with 14 - two traditional wooden-track and 12 steel-track rollercoasters featuring, among others, the 'Millenium Force,' which opened in 2000 and is taller than the Statue of Liberty.

since this is from 2002 it should say 15 roller coasters, because of Wicked Twister but the books come out before the years ends, example- 2004 isnt over yet but the 2005 edition is already out

this is on page 164 of the 2002 guiness world records book in the bottem left. *** Edited 12/14/2004 9:29:30 PM UTC by Vince982***

Well, I hold Guiness 2005 in my hands, and it reads:

In 2003, both Six Flags Magic Mountain in Valencia, California, USA, and Cedar Point near Sandusky, Ohio, USA, opened their 6th roller coaster to the public.

AND

Six Flags Great Adventure in Jackson, New Jersey, USA has a total of 71 diffrent mechanical rides. The park, which now boasts 12 roller coasters, opened its doors on July 4, 1974 and covers a total area of 140 acres [56.6 hectares]

That is the EXACT quote from the book.

Did someone let Six Flags know that the Ambulances don't count as mechanical rides?

Goodbye MrScott

I have in my hands the 1987 Book of Records. I had to laugh when I saw the record was 60 something miles per hour. ANd CPLover. are you guessing a bunch of coasters are getting demolished or something? I mean come on 6? LOL
