Cedar Point: Monday June, 13th

It was a really good day at the park. Sunny skies and temps in the low 70's.

Got to the park at 9:30 and went straight to Millennium. Waited about a half hour. Great ride and a great way to start the day. Next we headed down the trail to ride some of the rides in Frontier Town. Rode Skyhawk, then headed to Mean Streak which I was very excited to try out this year after the reviews. Rode in the front and it gave a much better ride than it had in previous years. Up next we rode Mine Ride and then headed over to Gemini. Gemini was racing both trains which was good to see.

After Gemini we got lunch at the Roundup. I got a chicken tender basket and a pop. Good meal and it costed around $13 or $14 I think... Next we walked over to Paddlewheel and rode that, then went to Magnum and took a ride on that. It started getting a little hot so we decided to head to Shoot the Rapids. I really like the ride, the boats were filling all the rows and the boats also seemed to be moving much faster. Good ride! From what I noticed you barely get wet from the drops. What gets you is those dang water bombs and in my case obnoxious kids in front of me continuously splashing water on everyone. Also, they did not seem to have those water falls running in the canyon. Probably because it was a little cooler, but however I don't think it made much of a difference since they barely hit you.

Next we went over to Maverick and rode that. That was probably the longest wait of the day which was maybe a little over an hour. Great ride as usual! Next we took the train up to the front of the park and walked to Iron Dragon. Broken down... So then we went over to Disaster Transport, rode that and on the way rode the Cadillac Cars. After that we rode the Ferris Wheel, then went back to Iron Dragon and that was back up and running so we rode that. We then took the Sky Ride for a nice relaxing ride and then went to TGI Friday's in Breakers for dinner. Food was excellent and had very good service! We then came back into the park and decided to get an Elephant Ear and check out the line for Dragster. Only 45 minutes, so rode that and it gave a great ride as usual! Dragster was our last ride of the day and I wanted to buy some stuff, so I went to the CP store and bought a couple shirts so we then headed out.

Some notes:

-Windseeker tested in the morning and saw lots of workers working on it
-Saw Bill Spehn and Robin Innes wandering the park
-Service was pretty slow at the walk up locations
-There only seems to be one camera now on Maverick instead of two... Theming seems to start to look like it's letting go... Water bombs not working and lights in the tunnel off.
-Lake Erie is looking pretty brown... I know it's not the cleanest lake but I have never seen it so brown!

Nice TR. Seems like you were in the back of the park for majority of the day?

-I know Iron Dragon was broken down on your trip, but was it running 3 trains? When I went a couple of weeks ago it was only running 2.

-Maybe the water bombs not working is temporary because on Memorial Day weekend, they were running very well.

Well I did end up riding ID and I believe it was running two from what I saw. Could be wrong though...

Iron Dragon's 3rd train is still in pieces in the Mean Streak infield, along with the unused Corkscrew, Gemini, and Mine Ride trains.

And then one day you find ten years have got behind you
No one told you when to run, you missed the starting gun
