Cedar Point Injuries!

It was a couple of years ago (2006 I think). I was waiting in line with the girlfriend, and looked a little too closely at someone I shouldn't have. Got the good ole smack on the back of my head. :)

I fell straight to the concrete in pain. That was humiliating. Now I walk through every turnstile backwards.

I did the SAME exact thing last year and now I get picked on about it from my posse (you know who you are).:)

Um, would that be your insane clown posse? ;)

So you get a little hurt while having fun... :)

bad luck i see haha

This Wasn't At Cedar Point But At Valleyfair Park In Minnesota. I decided to go down the Raging Rapids Ride Where 4 People Sit In A Raft Together and Go Down A Water Slide. I went down with 3 of my firends that are a little over weight compared to me so I was thrown around in the ride since I was the lightest during the curves. Light enough that we went up a curve and I went striaght up and landed straight out on my back in the middle when we came down. It was entirely my fault not the parks but my back was bruised for about a week after that. T_T but it was still fun. ^_^

Hmm, I guess I've never been seriously injured in the park. Last year I cut through my thumb with an electric hedge trimmer and I couldn't go in the lake...bummer. :)

In the park though, I guess it would have to be on Mantis. I was on an outside seat, and I'm really tiny so there's this turn that picked me up, threw me to one side, then the other, then slammed me back where I was supposed to be. It was a very fun and cool sensation, but I was sore for a day or so.

Also, Raptor just beats the crap out of me consistently, no matter if I hold on or not.

Summer was made for a Cedar Point day~

^Raptors last helix makes me black out and pulling into the station that last little curve bangs my head. Is that some things that happen?

Let's Get Weird.

I never blacked out on the Raptor, I almost did on the Maverick though with that first horseshoe roll.. I saw a little blackness and stars in front of my eyes coming out of that. I thought I was going to pass out, but luckily I didn't and it was a very enjoyable ride.

^Was it really a "black out" or was it a "grey out"? A black out is when you lose consciousness, a grey out is when you temporarily lose vision but still remain completely conscious. The latter can happen when ever your body is dehydrated and then put in a stressful situation (like say a coaster.) That happened to me three times (once at BGT, WOF and once at SFGAm)
and it was at that point I made a promise to drink more water at parks. Since then, I haven't greyed out once.

I guess you could say it was more of a grey out, I felt disorientated for sure for a few seconds. I was standing in line for 2 hours with nothing to drink, so that's a possibility too. I'm just thankful it wasn't that hot of a day.

I'm sure to drink more water at CP this year, since that's what I'm mainly drinking now even at home (and it's very dry in my apartment), so I have to keep hydrated.

I can relate to the turnstile, I've walked through after someone has turned it a little bit only to walk into it. Left a nice pretty bruise on my thigh for weeks. This happened twice last year. My other injury would have been from the UR Dade haunted house, I hate haunted houses but my husband loves them. I walked through the whole thing with my face buried in his back, and just as we get to the end and I can see daylight and a "monster" jumps at me and I run into a wood railing (maybe this is what it was). I had an instant bruise on my shin I hit the thing so hard.

I had the same exact thing happen to me at the turnstyle as I was walking out of the park at CP last year, the turnstyle was only half way turned and I got a bruise on my thigh too. It stayed there for about a week or so, but man, did that hurt like a bear.

I then made sure I use my hands to turn it first before going in just in case it's only turned half way again.

Every time I ride Demon Drop, I get smacked in the groin from the shoulder restraints when the car slides on it's back into the breaks. Ouch. Makes it hard to walk for about an hour. I'm 6'4", about 200lbs, does this happen to anyone else?

I'm 6'3 and haven't had that problem. Usually the only problem I have is any change in my pockets sliding out and disappearing.

I'm not a guy, so I can't say about the other thing, but I have whacked my head around quite a bit on Freefall (RIP) at SFMM at the exact same spot on the ride. I eventually gave up riding it because of that fact, but I'll have to hit up Demon Drop at least once since it's the only one left.

2009: I REALLY want to come back, we'll see
2008: CP&LE Railroad/Monster/Witches' Wheel

last summer while on magnum we were on one of the last bunny hills heading back to the station when a full pack of cigarettes hit me square in the chest. couldn't breather for about a minute but i was fine. never found out whos cigarettes they were, if i did i would have snapped them all in 2 right in front of them.

I dont really get injuries as much as I do headaches. Magnum and Mean Streak are the main contenders in regards to that.

There's the one guy, I think his name is Adam or something like that. Whenever I hang around him, I get this real sharp headache and it won't go aw... Oh, I mean. Sometimes I get headaches when I'm there all day, too. :)

My brother got sick before. He had Croup. He couldn't breathe and we had to take him into the Cedar Point First AID. Luckily, it was nothing serious, and he was on the breathing machine for an hour or so. Then after, we left the park with no breathing problems with him.
