Cedar Point & Soak City Review: August 14 & 15

DAY 1

Cedar Point had a nice crowd both Days. Blue Streak was amazing. Next we went to Corkscrew. You can see what I noticed different about Corkscrew on this thread: http://pointbuzz.com/Forums/Thread/24125.aspx?page=2#394915. The parks landscaping was amazing in the front of the park this year, After I went to gemini. Running great. They are hitting interval. So well i think it could go back into 6 train operation on really crowded days. Next i rode mean streak. Bumpy but bearable. The water cups now are about 5 oz. Some are 8 oz. We came back after dinner and rode blue streak. NO line. After We went to Magnumxl200. I noticed now they have theese fun facts about the ride in the quene. Then rode maverick. 45min. wait. It seems like you don't slow down as much in the tunnel anymore. Starlight expierience was AMAZING!

DAY 2

Went to soak city and was just okay. Slides need a paint job and could use alot better slides. I want them to take out the tower between the speed slides and the tube slides. We rode the lazy rivers 5 times each and the wave pool 1. The wave pool is sooooooo ruff on the bottom. We came back to the park and ride blue streak, car rides, skyhawk, corkscrew, mean streak, and gemini. I have to compliment JOE on Magnum. THere was a guy who cut the whole 30 min. line and Joe made sure he got out of line and threatened to kick him out of the park. Most operators would just ignore the line jumper but Joe did somthing about it. Mean streak is horrible w/o the trims. 1st time the ride was unberarable. COnsider making your last ride Mean Streak because the crew is amzing. THey let us go as many times as we wanted to stay on the ride or move to a different seat. Mean streak was amazing in the front seat. Also they now have crowd control on all the coasters. Instead of having the ride host at the begining of the quene, now they control crowds and take height checks up in the station. All in all it was a good trip.

^Glad you had a good trip. Although the mean streak part was a little confusing... it was terrible without trims, but it was great in the front seat? I can't believe you went back for more after riding it once.

^ Sorry For the confusion. I meant to say was the first time we rode it that night the trims were OFF. Horrible, we were in the middle part of the red train. Then we rode in the same seat again but the trims were turned on. After we moved up to the front and the trims were off. It was such a great graceful ride.
