Cedar Point- Breakers Express

I guess I will contribute to the praising of LHP....

I stayed in a cabin in June of 2005. I think I will venture to say that I liked the entire experience more than staying at the Breakers. My most memorable experience, probably ever, at Cedar Point was walking back to our cabin through a completely empty park after the last train of the night on Millennium Force. Needless to say, I will be making any effort necessary to stay in a cabin again this year.

I've got a stupid question, well actually no questions are stupid but I feel dumb asking it, does the LHP cabins come with a bathroom, or does it have community restrooms/showers? I wanted to stay at the cabins last year, but my ma complained that she wouldn't stay somewhere without private bathrooms and I wasn't sure if LHP was like that our not.

Smoking Marijuana isn't a bad thing or even a good one, like everything else, its what you make of it.

It has a bathroom

Lighthouse Point Cabins and Cottages have their own bathrooms, complete with a tub and shower. The shower is geared towards shorter folks, but will work fine for those over 6 feet tall...with a little work. There are also the "community" showers and bathrooms offered by the campground, I've used those, too. Clean and more suitable for us bigger folks.

LHP Cabins & Cottages have their own private bathrooms.

What, if any, rules are there governing gas grills at LHP? I have both a portable and full-size propane grill, and would prefer to bring the larger one, since you can cook more than 4 hot dogs at a time. ;)

You shouldn't have any problem, since you are in a campground and outdoor cooking is the norm.

We have stayed at Camper Village, full hook-up. Basically a cottage on wheels. I couldn't agree more Mr. Scott and Jugga, nothing like having your morning coffee and listening to the park come to life. We stayed at Breakers for 2005 opening weekend and although it was nice (and expensive), we felt like we were missing something, kinda like being the 1st ones to leave a party. You can't beat the atmosphere, especially the sound of Magnum echoeing through the campground, or the kids rocketing out of the camper in the morning yelling, Milennium is running!

Thanks MrScott, that's actually good to know. I think the whole cabin experience would be a lot of fun, and not to mention cheaper.

The only area I've ever stayed at to visit Cedar Point is Breakers, and even though it's not the best hotel, and it's very expensive it does have pretty many perks. Of course, I am a person of tradition, I think we've done the same thing for r years now. :P

Summer was made for a Cedar Point day~

Hi, I'm new here. I'm planning my first visit to Cedar Point for the first week of June. I have lots of questions. I'm not sure if this is the correct place to ask, if not just direct me to the correct place.

I have been thinking about getting the package deal from Breakers Express. Is this a good idea to get the package?

If I just want to go sit on the beach one day instead of riding all the coasters, do I still have to pay the full admission price to the park or how does that work? Is the admission to the Point and the amusement park part the same or is it separate?

Package prices are usually good if you plan on staying more than 1 night. Although if you are only going for one day it may be cheaper just to go without the package (just call & they'll let you know pricing)

You dont have to pay to go to the beach but you will have to pay $9 for parking, unless you are on a package (they'll provide you a pass).

For a 2 night stay at Breakers Express in early June, you'll pay around $75/night for the lodging only. For a package (consisting of 2 full-day tix, 2 starlight tix, buy 1 get 1 Soak City coupon, breakfast coupons), the total price comes to $211 ($144 hotel + $67 tickets).

Breakers Express is technically located off-property, meaning you'll have to pay the $9/day for parking at the Point. Keep in mind that tickets cost $40/each for full-day, and $25/Starlight. This means that without the package deal, your total stay would be $274 for two nights ($144 hotel + $80 FD tickets + $50 HD tickets), not including Soak City, breakfast coupons or parking.

So, as IrishEd said, for a two-night stay, your best bet is the package, which will save you about $63, using the scenario described above.

Also, if you're planning on going with more than 2 people, you might consider staying at Lighthouse Point. The package price skyrockets to $465, but the cabins sleep 6, and you get reimbursed for the $9 parking fee. Lighthouse Point is also much nicer, offering a bit more privacy and the benefit of a kitchenette and outdoor grill on your very own private patio.

Hope this helps. :)

Ed,
Packages are only available if you stay for 2 or more nights. There are no 1 night packages.

We just booked our opening weekend package at Breakers Express. Price for 2 adults + 1 child was 187.00 + tax for a total of 198.50. This is the same outstanding package as last year. It is a 2-night pacakge. You get the 2-Funday Tickets, 2-Starlight Tickets, 2-BOGO Soak City coupons, which can be used anytime through the season, a 10% discount on some restaurants in the park, 8-breakfast tickets which gets you donuts & etc. in the morning. You also get the parking voucher, good your entire stay, and, of course, the early entry. This cannot be beat by any-off Point hotel, IMHO. Plus, resort guests can buy Funday tickets for $31.00 each.

If you are looking for a cube with a shower to crash in, that's clean and close, go to the Breakers Express. This is our 3rd year there, and we love it.

BTW - Hope to see Candy Man and Randy from Van Wert at the Magnum entrance along about 9:30am on May 6th.
