Any comparison between a Disney complex and CP/GL is just silly, IMHO. Disney built those parks close for a reason - to create a complete one-stop resort. CP/GL is nothing like that, that is unless a monorail is going to be built between Sandusky and Aurora (and wouldn't that be cool!! :) )
That would be GREAT for you, wouldn't it?! :)
How about one of those TransRapid things like the one they just built in Shanghai?

...The only bad things that might happen is if they redo Big Dipper and Raging Wolf Bobs like they redid Blue Streak. New air brakes, seat cushions, seat dividers, and operational changes would ruin those two coasters. Leave those two as they are and change everything else and I would be happy.
Too late. Last year, Raging Wolf Bobs got squeeze brakes to go along with the Gerstlauer train (it already had the computer). A couple of years ago, Big Dipper got a computer, and a control system that does a lousy job of parking the trains in the station as it crashes them together.
Data point: Valleyfair!'s High Roller has an IAD train on it with seat belts and drop-down lap bars, but no seat dividers. Big Dipper's train is similar to an IAD train.

As far as the enterprise ride possibly not opening, I am guessing it has to do with the release handle on the cage/car door. At cp unless you have VERY long arms it would be incredibly difficult to open your own car. At some parks the same ride has a handle which is much more easily accessed and could possibly be opened by a rider. That's just my guess though.
Cedar Point's Enterprise had that type of tubs on it, with no safety strap, until just a couple of years ago. What I know about Geauga Lake's Enterprise is that when I visited last September, the Enterprise had been almost totally dismantled, probably for the same kind of rehab that the Top Spin got last year. I know that the Enterprise is a high-pressure hydraulic system which has a special safety valve in it that has to be replaced at some regular interval, and plumbing that must be +certified by Huss at some regular interval. I suspect that has more to do with the ride's closure than anything else. I wonder if Cedar Fair will simply remove the Enterprise and move one of the rides from the other side of the lake into its place. That would be a quick fix.
