Cedar Creek Mine Ride?

Who thinks that the Cedar Creek Mine Ride should be demolished. It's not really that popular(except for beginners like kids),and from experience is one of the the most boring rides I've ever ridden. I think that a nice flying coaster (or something that does inversions) should go in it's place, something that's still Frontiertown themed.

GRR....I really despise this thought process....Not all of us can handle dizzying heights and nauseating speed & air time.....Some of us love CP, the atmosphere, the food and mild thrills.....And no we are NOT beginners NOR kids....!!!

I do agree, though, that something with a few inversions should be their next major project. Right now they only have 3 coasters with loops; Raptor, Mantis, and Corkscrew. ... So I dunno what the next logical step is.

GCI dueling wood!

I am pleased to see so many of you have the appreciation for a ride with as much character as the CCMR. I think the atmosphere of that part of the park would be greatly diminshed if it were removed. A ride does not have to be 200' or higher to be enjoyable.
Yes, I love CCMR. It is a classic in my book. If it were to be ever demolished, I would be depressed. It was a first coaster for me.

I also want to say that a ride doesn't have to be a coaster or thrill ride to be enjoyable. What would Cedar Point be without the other 51 rides?

You guys are right, it is a good coaster. I guess I'm just one of those thill freaks, always looking for the next big thrill. I apologize for calling it a coaster that should be demolished. It deserves to stay where it is.

But they still need another coaster that does inversions. :)

Inversions don't do much for me. I think a new out-and-back woodie to be constructed at the front of the park is in order. Similar to Shivering Timbers, with the station situated near DT and running in between the east side of the main parking lot and the beach.

The Mine Ride is too much of a fixture in the park for it to be taken out. Just like (well, not just like) the Ford Mustang. It is a fixture a FoMoCo. For those do not know, remember in 1988 when Ford announced the next mustang would be a front wheel drive, non-V8 sports coupe? Remember all of the rants and angry letters Ford recieved? Therefore, they kept the Mustang thew way it was and called the new car the Probe. Cedar Fair might recieve a similar backlash, though maybe not as severe, as Ford did.

Hmm...I over-explain things to make a small point.

Won't happen... the people who own the property along the beach would never allow it (and that's not EVEN including the first house to the south along the beach)

Not that I am disagreeing with you, but, how can the property owners stop CP from building something if it is on CP property?

Beer and golf Thursday thru Monday, Cedar Point & beer, Tuesday and Wednesday.

Whoa, whoa, whoa. Seen the news lately? Try building a jungle gym 7 feet taller than your house in your neighborhood and see how well that goes over, for instance. Now, Imagine a noisy roller coaster.

I always dreamed about it, but never really thought it would happen. I don't think that type of coaster could fit, even if the neighbors allow it, would it? You've responded to my "floorless train on Mantis" post on Coasterbuzz as well. I take it you work at CP. :)
