Good Luck this summer. Acouple tips... Mine Ride is as fast paced as it gets. 3 trains can be a hassle at times but it makes the day go amazingly fast. Watch for straddlers...and be in good shape cause your going to be moving all day long.Your TL is a pretty cool guy you should enjoy this summer working with him.

I haven't posted here in like four years, but I happened to see this post. I had a love/hate relationship while working on the Mine Ride (2000 ATL. 2001 TL). I can' t believe they still run three trains on that thing. My crews were the first with the new computer system and it took the whole 2000 season to fix all of the bugs. It's a very fast paced ride. You'll have fun.

You'll also memorize this saying real quickly: "For more leg room, cross your ankles".

Well the 2005 season is almost over- But I'm new to this site so please forgive me. To the 2006 crew...

Take Care of the MR she's an old ride- but one of the best ones in the park. I worked the ride in 1994. Pedal pushing, all male crews, and no new computer braking system either. Controls were especially difficult on hot days when you were scheduled O-C. "Cross your ankles for more legroom" still makes me laugh.

I miss the musty smell of the wood and station. I was just a red-tag but loved it. We had an excellent crew and rivalled some of the bigger rides with our turnstyle numbers. But the Viper-chicks ruled!

Best word of advice- you make or break your summer. Work your a** off, have fun, party, make some money, cry, laugh, and make lots of friends.

Do you get wet on this ride? Ony when it rains!

the mine ride was soo much fun to work that was my first ride i worked on when i went to the point i was a ride hoar lol. Im actually working on the radio as a radio dj now in baltimore md. I love it! Youll love it everyone is really nice and your ride crew will be like your family. I still wear my ride shirt that was made by the crew! GO 2003!! :)
