Causeway or Drive?

Which way is better, faster, easier? Cedar Point Dr. or Cedar Point Causeway? Which one is better to get in and dropped someone off?

Depends on where you're coming from. If you're coming in from the east from 2 or 6, then the Chaussee is closer. But if you're coming in from the west off of 2, 4 or 250, then the Causeway is the best route. I would personally suggest the Causeway for either direction because IMO it is the fastest and easiest route.:) If you intend to drop someone off, don't forget that you will have to pay for parking (unless you have a platinum pass) because you cant walk on the Causeway to get into the park. Just making sure you knew that.

I've measured and timed both ways coming from Cleveland a number of times and for me it's pretty much the same time and distance either way. So, I call it a tie. Distance, it's within a couple tenths of a mile and time it's a minute of two. It can easily vary that much with traffic conditions on any given trip. From my house it's usually 51.6 miles to the booth on either road. Time usually 55 minutes. Construction will increase that a few minutes.

Most of the time I take the Chausee it's much more scenic. If I'm going to take the Perimeter road I take the Causeway so I'm closer to that left booth. On the way out I always take the Causeway. Sometimes the left turn out of the Chausee can be difficult, so I avoid it.

Actually they are the EXACT same time. Cedar Point drive IS the Causeway :). Now the Chausee is most likely not faster. But it depends on which way you are traveling, if you are coming from route 6 and it is close to opening time then the Chausee would probably be faster.

Just for clarity, the Chaussee is named Cedar Point Road (along the lake). The Causeway is named Cedar Point Drive (over the bay).

^Thanks! I was going off of a mapquest map that was wrong (how can it be wrong the internet is always rite) :-) It had Cedar Point Rd. as Cedar Point Dr. and Cedar Point Dr. as Cedar Point Causeway/Cedar Point Dr. Confusing!
