Can you say, "Inverted Top Hat"?

Look at the webcam, it's obvious to me that the top hat will be inverted. I know that a lot of you Nay-Sayers will still be stubborn and say it's going to be a regular top hat, but look at the third webcame. Xcelerator sure as hell doesn't look like that. So what else can it be? One choice is inverted and the other is "Who Knows!?!"

I guess we'll just have to keep guessing, but this is my guess. You can disagree, but we'll see in the end...

Soylent Green is made of people!!! It's people!!!

Scotty why must you start this again. Just deal with the fact that is NOT gonna be inverted.

Some one help me i'm in denial about Project 2003.

This isn't cool- I just wanted a (an?) Xcelerator type tophat. Oh well, it'll still be one helluva ride.

Don't worry, it WILL be a non-inverting tophat. There are several photos that even show that there is a connector for a support on the concave side of the apex piece.

The "Nay-Sayers" would be right in this instance.

"Xcelerator sure as hell doesn't look like that."

Xcelerator also has 2 support structures and isn't nearly as tall.

This isn't an Xcelerator clone, CF doesn't clone coasters.

"Who needs drugs when you have Cedar Point."

Scottie rock, your obviously mistaken. The tophat will be simular to Xcelerators design, but WILL not be an inversion. This picture proves it.

One thing that has been annoying me, is that some people are calling Xcelerators tophat an 'inverted tophat.' It's not an inversion, and since the original 'tophat' was an inversion, it makes sense to call that an 'inverted tophat.'

i agree with you scottie this roller coaster will be inverted and will have shoulder restraints. we will be able to find out for sure when someone spots a coaster train with or without shoulder restraints. I am not for sure just like everybody else but i think it is turning inverted and if the weather holds up 2morrow we could find out depending on how much construction gets done.
How can you honestly agree with Scotty after just seeing that last photo? I have seen that piece before, it will be at the very top and will not be inverted.

I think that the top hat may possibly be overbanked and that the angled support in the back will be used to support this overbanking.

I think you guys need to look at the pic that SteelMonsters posted a little closer. If it was overbanked or an inversion it would be shaped like a "U" with the support connector at the bottom (outside of the turn). If it is going to be a hill then the track is shaped as it is, like an "n" with the support connector on the bottom (inside of the turn).

Get it? Got it? Good.

O MY GOD....KILL ME NOW, SOMEBODY KILL ME PLEASE. IS anybody with me on this...this topic is unbeleivable.

http://www.setecx.com/pics/cp102602const/imagepages/PICT0230.html

Can you people OPEN YOUR EYES. Cant you see the support connectors on the bottom of the track (top, since its upside down.) IT WONT BE INVERTED!. (PERIOD) If you people that think and acctually convince yourselves that it will be inverted just open your eyes for a second. You will see what i am talking about and what everybody that has a little common sense is talking about.

bboy... - Can you provide any evidence of this overbanked tophat configuration? Sounds interesting, but where is any indication of the overbanking? Any pictures? Which track pieces are overbanked?
Hehehe....you know...

Xcelerator does have an inverted tophat.

A tophat, by definition, is an inversion. See the Mr. Freeze rides as an example of the original tophat.

No need to get technical lol

Most people here think of the word 'Inversion' and think Upside down.

The Tophat WON'T go upside now. sounds better.

1.) Xcelerator DOES NOT have an inverted tophot.
2.) How do you know those parts in that pic isn't for a later part of the ride?

I don't think CP would dig up all that space for just a L-TH-B. Sure, they need room for a queue line and a station, but I don't think they'll use THAT much.

I could be wrong, and probably am, but we'll find out eventually. And when that moment comes, let the bashing begin!

(Note: Bashing does not bother me, I encourage it as long as it doesn't get personal and you can handle getting it dished back)

Soylent Green is made of people!!! It's people!!!

Inverted Top Hat is mis-leading, because the original Top Hat was an element that inverted the train. So, it's like a double negative. So, compared to the first Top Hat, yes, It will be inverted. Now will the train Invert? No.

How about we just call it a "reversed" tophat so that it doesn't get anybody elses confused. It really is an non-inverting inverted tophat. But "reversed" tophat is perhaps a bit more accurate?

Can YOU say "Read the other threads!!"
jdubya...i dont really have any evidence, but i was just thinking this could be what that rear support is for.
