Can you choose what ride you want to work?

I was wondering, can you choose what ride you want to work?

That depends on when you get hired. I didn't get a choice, but I applied midseason. I love working my ride, and would have to really think about moving to another.

If you apply during the off season, you can make a request, but that does not guarantee that you'll get what you asked for. (And in some cases, that's a good thing. :)) In the end, they'll put you wherever they want.

Just like raptorgrl said, it depends on when you apply. I applied in January and chose from a few different locations. It also depends on who looks at your app and calls you. For example, the Area One manager reviewed my app and I ended up in Area One (which is the best by the way!) Good luck, but don't get your hopes up on one certain ride. If they're adequately staffed, you will be placed somewhere that's understaffed.

And even if you do get contracted to your request, that doesn't necessarily mean you will set foot on that ride ever. I was contracted in Area 2 to Dragster, but I was never trained there, and spent the entire summer (with the exception of one week) in Area 1.

I was asked which ones were my fav and I said Mean Streak and Iron Dragon. I got Mean Streak! I was so hype! Reasons why I picked MS...

Whats in Area 1?

Everything from MF, Iron Dragon, Mantis, matterhorn towards the front of the park.

When I applied and they did my phone interview they asked me if I liked kids and if I was ok with heights and stuff. But their always willing to change your ride. There's always someplace they can put you.

Yep thats exactly what it was I got stuck at Peanuts Playground!!!! It sucked.

You know what? When I was being interviewed, I kept going on and on about how I'm a ski instructor, and how I'm great with kids, and after the interview I realized that he may have been more inclined to put me in KK/PP/CS, but I ended getting contracted to Dragster.
