Can u get extra hours?

Isn't there a phone number you can call to get extra hours throughout the park? Are they still doing that this season? What is the number? Do you have to cross train? What positions are they usually looking for? If you want to take the hours - do you call that department? Thanks!

yeah there is a number human resources or your supervisor will give it to at any time if you ask. Yes you do have to cross train but most of the time no big deal you can pick up extra hours about anywhere
Lots of the internations ask for extra hours though, so just be aware that they're not very easy to get.

That doesn't mean you shouldn't try. You have just as much a right to try to get extra hours as an employee from another country. ^_^ It's easier to get extra hours at the beginning and end of the season -- when staffing is a bit shorter -- than in the middle. You can always volunteer to work another employee on your crew's shift for them, too, as long as your schedules don't conflict...become the person people go to if they want some more time off.

Heh, when you live at the park, work is pretty much always available if you want it desperately enough. My first summer, I *averaged* 70-80 hours per week in my own department because I O/Ced practically every day. I would call around to all the gates and see if people wanted to go home early, then I would take their place and close for them. My paychecks were *extremely* nice as a result, and I learned a lot more about different aspects of Park Admissions than I would have if I just camped out in Group Sales every day. (Hint: The more you know how to do, the more valuable an employee you become, and the more opportunities open up for you...this is pretty much universal with every job everywhere ^_^ ).

Edit: Definition for new folks -- "To O/C" means to work from open to close.

you can get pretty much as many hours as you want. There are certainly enough lazy people that won't want to work that will give you their hours. You can also see if your sup needs someone for another ride. Yes the internationals do take up a lot of extra hours but most rides don't have many internationals, unlike mine which had 7.
