I just got a laptop for my birthday, and I process in on Friday. Would it be a bad idea to bring it?
And that brings up another question: do the rooms have safes where I can lock up my stuff and not have to worry about it?

Bringing a real expensive laptop, or even a cheap one, to an amusement park isn't the safest thing you could do with it. *** Edited 6/23/2005 2:11:09 AM UTC by Top Thrill 182***
Thrills Around the Corner!
I brought mine last year, and kept it locked in my commons dorm locker when I wasn't using it. Depends on how much you trust your roommates, I guess
Hmmmm......will my roommates be trustable?

In commons each person has their own locker to lock their things inside of. Of course, they aren't steel armored safes, and can be broken into if someone really wanted to. Someone else will have to fill you in on what, if anything, the other dorm buildings offer.
And then one day you find ten years have got behind you
No one told you when to run, you missed the starting gun
Your door to your room locks as well, so it'd be mostly the trusting of your roommates to keep the door locked, and to stay out of your junk.
I got lucky and had trustable roommates last summer. Others have been less fortune, although I heard mostly positive stories.
In 1400 last year there were a few items stolen from rooms, for locked lockers. One included a brand new laptops. I brought my whole desktop both years since I knew at least one of my roommates before I got there. It doubled as a TV since it has a cable input in it, so if anyone would have stolen it, that would have been just mean. :)

Well, my laptop hasn't been stolen yet, but I also haven't been getting much use out of it due to the lack of internet!
However, my roomate's PS2 was stolen, so I'm watchin' out.
So wait, where are these lockers?
