Wouldn't it be awesome if Cedar Point were to bring back a marine life show like Oceana? They still have the old Oceana stadium so I can't imagine that it would to expensive to revamp it and put in a new marine life show. It would be an awesome thing for families, and as we all know, Cedar point is always in need of more family related activities.
Except Cedar Fair as a company policy no longer features animals or animal shows at any of their parks.
No. It is VERY VERY cruel to keep dolphins in such a small tank. Well, any tank really. Marine life shows are wrong.

Then your imagination kinda sucks. While it likely wouldn't be expensive to revamp the stadium, acquiring the marine animals to perform in such a show would not be inexpensive.

It was only attempted the first time to siphon people away from Aurora. No need to do it again.

Acquiring new marine life animals would be inexpensive compared to a new ride like gatekeeper.
I hate when I have to go full tree-huger but:
You'd amazed the amount of dolphin hunting done for marine parks. The industry as a whole needs to die. A lot of these animals come from Taiji. Even sea world only recently stopped getting animals from the cove, and refuse to condemn parks that do. Smaller parks around the globe snatch up these animals... it's just really bad. And you're wrong about captive breeding, worldwide captive breeding is actually really rare... the industry is just.... sick. I'm going to just post a bunch of links because I don't want to rant for 10 pages.

Also watch the documentary "the cove." It has alot of padding about how they shot it, but hopefully it will help open your eyes.

Working in the old Oceana stadium for the past few years and have gone down into the actual tank itself, it's amazing how small the tank actually looks from being in it. I'm half and half on how I feel about wild animals being used in parks, especially after being at Disney's Animal Kingdom and seeing their part of the park where you can go and watch them care for the animals and see everything they do for them. I do believe certain animal attractions can be good, if done correctly with enough room for the animals and proper care...but aquatic shows I feel could never be done at a scale big enough.
If you are ever down at Disney World and happen to go to Animal Kingdom, it's called 'Rafiki's Planet Watch", you have to take a short train ride to it but it's really a great place to visit. It shows what goes on behind the scenes in an animal park and I actually got to watch them tend to a gazelle while I was there. They do do a very good job for their care.
I completely agree. Aquatic animals do not belong in a small tank at Cedar Point or even in an amusement park. At Animal Kingdom, they have plenty of room for these animals. That land goes on for acres and acres, maybe even miles.

I also agree, as I watched sea animals and even zoo animals in their pens when I was a kid, I always asked my grandma if they "liked being in their cages." I always wondered that in that small space if they were comfortable moving about in such a small place. I do notice that at the zoo or aquarium animals acted different, like they were uncomfortable. Then I watch the discovery channel and saw them in their real habitats, and it was very different. So, CP should not have a sealife show and stick to bikes and stunts done by humans :)
When I was at SFGA I saw some of their animal and marine shows and they were really good. It seemed that they were cared for. That park also has a huge safari. I actually know someone who works there with the animals and she loves her job. From what I've seen/heard with her, they seem to treat the animals really well there.

My opinion is that animals were put on this planet to serve man, and while that doesn't mean we should be intentionally cruel, I'm not big on animal rights. This is another one of those issues where hypocrisy looms large... some of the same people championing dolphins rights have no issues eating a chicken sandwich or veal. Ever see how those animals are treated?
I'm much more concerned with the rights of the unborn and the cruel practice of abortion, than I am with dolphins or chickens.
I used to enjoy Oceana, it was a great show. Another nice break from riding rides was Jungle Larry's.

That's likely a myth, but even if it were true, it's not like it can't change its mind.

Well Pet Farm is still on the Frontier Trail, so I doubt that's true...
And then one day you find ten years have got behind you
No one told you when to run, you missed the starting gun
I vaguely remember hearing that done of the dolphins from cp passed away, does anyone know what happened to the others? Can you remember their names? I only remember cocoa and stryker
