Brew and BBQ 2018

Cedar Point changed the dates for Brew & BBQ daily this year from June 8-July 1.

It finally falls on my 21st birthday. I can get a free beer with my pass. This is the happiest day of my life.

It's not during Coastermania?! This is the saddest day of my life.

This has become one of my favorite events for the season. We went 3 times last year and will probably do at least that many this year. As far as the calendar, Im a bit surprised they didn't take it through the July 4th holiday week. What says Independence Day better than some Brew & BBQ?

This is a welcome change. We always travel from Florida and stay at Breakers in mid-June and there are never any special events happening. July brings Cedar Point Nights, and Beach Party, etc. But there is essentially nothing happening in the month of June as far as special events are concerned.

Im glad its back to being weekdays because last year I couldn't make it. Except for me its more like bbq and coke, since I dont drink brew.

Me too - I am glad the weekdays have returned.

I also don't drink beer. If they had Frufru Mixed Drinks & BBQ I'd be all for it. But I usually go with my dad, and he's not a big eater. He enjoys a couple beers and I stuff my face and it's a win-win.

Agreed. This is going to make our stay in early/mid June that much better.

I understand why they wouldn't have it on Independence Day. The crowds during that event would be absolutely nuts.

I'm not into beer but they still had a pretty big selection of ciders, too! LOVE this event!

Same, but they did have some tasty ciders last year, so there's that.

But with the season pass drink plan I was able to use that for my Cokes and use all my tickets on BBQ, it's was a pretty much perfect day haha.

Can't you just go back to the park when it's offered? You're allowed more than one visit.

As someone who lives multiple states away, I have to pick & choose a few trips throughout the season. So it was really nice the last few years that Brew & BBQ overlapped with Coastermania. But now I'll likely miss Brew & BBQ. And I love that event. Great beers & good food at a good price, in one of my favorite places. Hard to beat.

Yea, if you're not an easy distance away that would be a bummer.

I’m kinda happy about the brew and bbq not falling on Coastermania because last year Maverick had to go down twice during ERT because some people had too much to drink and threw up all over the trains.

Haha.. I must have missed that. A friend and I marathoned Maverick at the end of the night. I think we got 8 rides in a row without getting off. But in my opinion, any enthusiast who pukes during ERT should be sent to the penalty box and not allowed in for the following year's Coastermania... drunk or not. ;)
