Breaking down the elements

Thats the down side and the track will do a 270. The other side just does a 90 and it is just like Xcelerator. You need to look at some more recent pics. (and please don't ask me to post any, I am too new to know which sites are OK)
The apex piexe has a support connector on its concave side, dashing any hopes that the train will travel on that side of it.

CP bound, then let me ask you this, *assuming* the piece you are referring to *is* indeed the tophat "apex" then why is there still talk that the tophat track will be free-standing like Xcelerator?

At the very least, please tell me that you do not subscribe to such conflicting theories.

I didn't even know that there was still talk that the top hat track would be free-standing. I thought we all pretty much agreed that the top hat would be non-inverted (the train will travel right side up) and that there would be a single vertical support that will come up from the "weird piece" that is at the top of the tower right now and support the apex of the top hat.

The tophat might be unsupported on the sides for a few feet, but it will be supported at the apex. As Majin Heero said, there will probably be a single vertical support connected to it.

I just hope it is a really long single vertical support!
Well I'm assuming that support will extend about 20 feet above the main structure... ;)
