Bone Yard

Where is Cedar Points bone yard?
LoL....Do you even know whats in the bone yard? It's probebly not what you think it is or expected it to be. But it does exist.
The Boneyard is located behind the Mean Streak.
It's located beside the Meanstreak, sort of in front of the Camper Village. The next time you are on the Meanstreak look a little right and you should be able to see it. You can also see it from the train going away from the Meanstreak, There is a paved area to your left that leads into it - It's that fenced off area back there.
There are picnic tables as far as the eye can see. Piles of old wood, trash cans, and lots of other junk. There are several buildings back there including the "Coast Guard station." One building used to be full of old air conditioners from the Hotel Breakers.

Also of interest is car number 9 from Demon Drop. Mostly, it is an area that is unimpressive.
Well then i guess each department has a bone yard because thats not where the one in foods is located.

yeah we are talking about were they keep the unused trash cans the other two Mine Ride trains, wood to repair the fences and wooden rides, ect.
Maybe next time we should be a little more specific?
I worked in Foods and I don't know where the foods
boneyard is at. Where's it located at?
Actually, the other two mine train cars are in the maintance shed on the mine train and not in the boneyard.
Yeah, you go right under the shed and past them as soon as the ride begins, while you're heading for the first lift. Don't you pay attention? Or are you too scared to look?;)

Thank you for riding Raptor and enjoy your day here at Cedar Point, America's RollerCoast!
Um... can we say blast from the past?

This does raise a question for me... How many cars were there on Demon Drop? When were the others removed? and why do they currently number 1,2,3,5,6 (i think that's how they go)

The bone yard is now between the lagoons and the Frontier Trail. Something about a little Lighthouse Point in TAFKATBY (The area formerly known as The Bone Yard).

Actually, one CCMR train is missing from the system. Two are usually in service, two are in storage in the shed. Where's the mysterious fifth train, which I believe is train #1? I've gotta stop riding that thing with Althoff :)

I thought Train #1 was still operating and that either #2 or #3 (I forget which) was missing last season. In 1999, all five trains were on the track and assembled. Which was a surprise when Train #1 and Train #2 returned in '97 or '98 since both had been completely missing from the ride for *years*. I wonder where they were during that time.

Scott, you're reminding me of another observation. I know you know the answer to this one, but I wonder if anybody else here does: How many off-line "parking spaces" are there for Gemini trains between the station and the lift, not counting the running track? Remember, the off-line side of the switch counts.

Darnit all. You're just getting me back for the dual loading question a few weeks ago :(

Yes I do know the answer, and yes, it's a completely viable theory. Acutally, Andy Quinn from Kennywood said something to the same effect for PR, a la what they're already doing with the Jackrabbit. (There, if I can't answer I'll give a boatload of hints) :)

Speaking of the boneyard, has anyone seen TLC's "Junkyard Wars?" We could play "Boneyard Wars." Two teams would have 10 hours to design and build a working coaster from the pile of scrap coaster parts in the yard! GTTPer's would then ride and rate the coasters and decide on which "franken-coaster" delivers the goods.

I want RideMan on my team as our "expert consultant."

Would you trust some of the people on this board to build a safe rollercoaster?
