B&M

I was looking around a few CF parks and i read that some of them are getting b&m coasters and one is getting a water ride. I think that "maverick" will be for the one water ride. It doesn't seem right that someone would call a B&M (put what type here) coaster maverick. It just doesn't semm right for some reason. Maverick is water a water ride would be call and do you know what it means? It means an unbranded range animal, especially a calf that has become separated from its mother, traditionally considered the property of the first person who brands it. If thats is CP's new ride i think it would be a water one. They keep the WWL station for the next water ride which i heared was this year. Maybe a new water ride and a coaster? what do you think?

Bring back Boblo!

Well if they were to build another water ride it would be in the back of the park. But i think if they were going to build just a water ride they wouldn't move the train tracks, let alone close a ride a year early to prep the location.

I'm just wondering how long its going to take until it turns into the world's worst kept secret.

I feel sorry for people who don't drink. When they wake up in the morning, that's as good as they're going to feel all day.

While I'm not necessarily disagreeing, I'm curious as to the logic that gets you from Maverick = cow to Maverick = water ride. I'm not saying that Maverick won't be a water ride (because who really knows at this point... besides Jeff?;)), but I am just curious if there's something that I'm missing here...

where did you look up Maverick? Thats not what Maverick stands for, and if it does, you looked up the wrong definition.

mabe cp is puting in a b&m like SheiKra it is a coaster that goes through the water at the end. That should make everyone happy you get a water ride and a rollercoaster

Really I am pretty positive that we will be getting a coaster, that will be called Maverick. Now there might be a water ride as well, but not Maverick.

I've always thought we'll be getting a coaster as well, but Jeff's recent comment has me second-guessing that.

Seeing as how almost every type of coaster has been proposed here at PB, I dunno what's left... I guess we'll find out later, rather than sooner.

Brandon

If everyone started a new topic when they had a new opinion the forum would be overrun by topics with titles that have nothing to do with what they're posting.

It's plain and simple. There is no proof that Maverick is a water ride, or a coaster for that matter, and there's no proof that it'll be used at Cedar Point. I'm not saying that it couldn't be, it very well could be, I'm just saying that there's no proof of anything regarding the name at this point.

jkoaster,

MiAdv is a CF park and they are getting a "water ride" this year.

I wonder if B&M would ever consider making a wooden coaster if they were asked too?

And to clarify MrScott's post, the name of the water ride is "Grand Rapids" (the guys who think this crap up should be fired for that inspirational show of originality).

Goodbye MrScott

John

Agreed. I hate the name.

Didn't Camille come up with the name?

Kevinj's avatar

Grand Rapids makes perfect sense seeing as how its a city in Michigan. And your park name is Michigan Adventure.

JuggaLotus's avatar

Which is the exact reason it took such an "inspirational show of originality". The name sucks, I just hope the ride is reasonable (at least for a Thunder Canyon type ride)

Goodbye MrScott

John

yea, sorry Jugga and Mr. Scott.. But the local yocals in Grand Rapids (the ones i know anyway, I'm from Detroit) are pretty fired up about that and I think it's very fitting..

Sure "Super Crazy Awesome Mega Water Death Machine" would be a way better name. But I'm not so sure that is what C.F. is going for.

It's a funny name.....maybe not the best, but still ok.
All that really matters is that MiAdv is finally getting some serious attention. Now all we need is a few new coasters and more midways(and more trees;)).

And dont forget that we'll also have a nice Coasters restaurant.:)
