But beyond bricks looking nicer than concrete what value is there in replacing concrete with bricks?
Why can't looking nicer just be the reason?

No bubble to burst on my end. I know there are people who don't ride and still spend money. I am just saying that if you gave them a list of improvements they would like to see I think that bricks would not be near the top of the list.
I have been to Busch Gardens Williamsburg two times. Absolutely love the park for its visual appeal, same goes for Islands of Adventure. I could not tell you if they have bricks or concrete. Does anyone know offhand?
Yes bricks are nicer looking than concrete but there are a whole lot of other visual improvements needed at the park before I worry about bricks.
The real question is with all these improvements to the atmosphere, new lights on the giant wheel, etc.: will they finally fix the Power Tower lights so they change colors and are in sync?
I hope the free water stays around.

I think your list is uncommon compared to the average visitor's.
I, and a lot of people I know, choose to shop at Target quite frequently, despite Target not necessarily having the lowest prices on many things. A major reason I (and others I know) shop there is because the experience is comparatively enjoyable, in part because Target makes it a priority to have an enjoyable atmosphere.
Atmosphere is one of those things that many people don't necessarily know they enjoy on a conscious level. It may not be on anyone's "Top Ten Things the Park Should Do", but that doesn't mean atmosphere doesn't add significant value to the experience.
And while it's true that CP has a lot of needed visual or atmospheric improvements, they gotta start somewhere. Why not bricks (assuming lighting gets improved first, which by all indications is the case)?

DJ - I don't know that a good atmosphere definitely adds value to the experience, but a bad one definitely subtracts from it. So maybe it's addition by not subtraction.
And this is obvious here. If CP had kept up on replacing burnt out bulbs and keeping those atmosphere elements running (like the lights on Power Tower or Millennium's lift hill) you wouldn't hear a thing here about how great a job they are doing keeping things like that up.
But since it seems some rides have half their lights out, and obvious things aren't working, you hear complaints about it, because people notice when things aren't as they should be.

I do think that bricks would look nice, but wouldn't that make it a very bumpy ride for kids in strollers?
I believe Planet Snoopy has bricks I think. Is that true? I've never actually been in there.

That's sort of my point. Atmosphere stuff isn't necessarily something you notice, but the lack thereof is.

I must not be a very good American, but thank goodness for small favors. That song was getting as stale as a two-year-old open box of Easter Peeps.

I coulden't agree more.
what you've just said is one of the most insanely idiotic things I have ever heard.
Everyone in this room is now dumber for having listened to it.
I award you no points, and may God have mercy on your soul.
I was telling someone yesterday how patriotism itself is fine, but when it's cheesy, it frankly trivializes it. The shows there over the years were cheesy in the worst way. It was meaningless flag waving. If you want to see it done right, go to Epcot and see the American Experience.
