i love this topic lots of interesting opinions..... i have worked for Live E for 4 years and we offer a great deal of variety of entertainment throughout the park...and yes people in the dept wish we would expand and offer some of the things talked about throughout this thread... i.e a larger theatre and more shows etc....but that doesnt happen due to the fact that so much need and desire from the people that come to the park for ride and coasters.... more people need to send in comments about the live e in my opinion, then maybe more will happen in the future!!!!

I have a comment that I made known to whomever was in the Live Entertainment office when I was in there:
Please don't show 'Alien Adventure' for the 2000 season. It was worse than 'Extreme' and I walked out on both.
I asked before, but was there anybody else that saw 'Alien Adventure' on closing weekend? Am I just imagining that it was that awful?
Other than that, I love catching a show when I have time. I think that Cedar Point's [live] entertainment is very well-rounded.

When I was there this season, they had a pre-show for the IMAX movie. It was a group, I forget the name, but they were like stomp. If you've ever seen stomp, you know why I think it's so cool. They're great ,and the show was pretty cool too!
Also, I'm a coaster enthusiast, but I love skiing. You guys should try it. If you like coastering, try skiing. It will help pass the off-season a LOT more.
The preshow for the IMAX movie this past summer was Kaboom, and they were awesome!! The second time I got to see it, I learned, and after Kaboom, walked straight out of the IMAX theatre

AnimalsRule...
If you had been smart, you would have waited for the advertising trailer that they added to the IMAX movie. That part, though not full-screen IMAX, was really neat. So you sit through the 120-second First Energy promo...THEN walk out of the cinema.
Early in the season they were not showing the First Energy thing.

I think that they could make the Cinema more exciting by updating it to one of the new three dimensional systems. I watched a show in New York a few years ago, where we all got these goofy looking, electronic glasses. Each was equipped with speakers on each side to add to the sound, plus the 3-D was awsome. It really made a so-so movie about a space station interesting.
I saw Alien Adventure and I agree with you Tyler, that was a pretty bad movie. It held my interest for about 5 min., though I'm not a big fan of animated movies anyway. I hope they don't show it, but I was happy to get a Millennium Force calendar for filling out the survey.
I went to IMAX this year, I waited about half way through, thinking it would get better, and we finally left because it was so bad. I liked Speed, especially the end of it.

I agree that the live shows at CP are good...but BillyBob also has a very good point. A ride like IOA's Spiderman would be absolutely awesome if CP decided to go through with the boardwalk project. Spiderman was one of the greatest rides I've ever riden if not the greatest. I think it would be beneficial to eliminate that crappy Disaster Transport and get a dark ride like the Cedar Point of old.
IMAX shows can be great, hence, "The Race To Atlantis" in Cesar's Place, in Las Vegas,(its a simulator ride by IMAX) but as this topic was once touched on, as much as I would love to see Cp get one as good as Cesar's, Cp is more into there rides, and dont think they would spend the money on a top notch IMAX movie as such. Its a toss up, some just want the rides, and others want better entertainment. Its all a matter of opinion!

The more you ride it, the more you want it!
If it wouldn;t be that had to do, and wouldn't cost too much, I would like to see one of those 4-D movies with the buzzes and water droplets, etc etc like the Pirates movie with Leslie Nielsen they have at Busch parks. That would be cool.

CP has had excellent IMAX movies in the past. To Fly! comes to mind. I'd like to see CP show Everest this year, that's an IMAX movie that got very high ratings.
Everest was a pretty cool movie.I would rather see fantasia 2000 at Cp. I think the IMAX is fine just a couple of lame movies here and there, but really nothing to me would need changed.
