Best Weekend To Go In May?

Hey guys, haven't been on here in awhile and I was planning a trip sometime in May. Based on past experiences, what would be the best weekend to visit The Point in May?

If it was me, I would probably do the 17-19 weekend just based upon the schedule. The first weekend is always kind of busy and ride crews are not in tune yet. Memorial Day weekend can be hit or miss, although I've always found it to be pretty good. That leaves the 17th weekend.

For the 2010 season we went Memorial Weekend. It seemed pretty packed but we also did the same for the 2004 season and it was quite slow all weekend.

Have you considered the last weekend in May? May 31 - June 2. It used to be the weekend my family would go every year and it can be a real ghost town. After that when schools get out and the weather gets real warm it tends to fill.

Currently I also go the day after Memorial for 3 days and the last week in August. The end of August is a bit busier but nothing compared to July. Again this is all based on my experiences.

Any weekend in May is a good one if you ask me. All of the local Middle schools and High schools still have school which is always a plus. This year though, I don't recommend going on opening weekend for the simple fact that Gatekeeper is a B&M and will probably open on time.

I have been going to Cedar Point since 1994 when Raptor opened. I live in Pittsburgh and get a season pass every year. Memorial Day Sunday/Monday is the best days. This year will be my 8th in a row and everything is walk on, or 30 minute wait times. NEVER GO IN JULY!!!
