I'm a new season pass holder. I just bought mine in December. (whoot whoot!) When is the best time to redeem your season pass at the center? I have a week off in early april and my sister and I were thinking about going then. Or if that blows over we'll go when we first go to the Point. Any suggestions?
Do NOT wait until Opening Day.
Otherwise you will end up with this. You're better off going during April, or waiting until later that opening week to make your first trip.

If that ever happens to me. I will just go ahead and pay for my admission that day.
A while ago I heard about something... like you could get your money back when you went to redeem your pass if you kept the receipt. I don't know though.
Now on topic... I would defintley go before opening day, just any free time you think you might have, check season pass hours and drive up.

That's what I'm thinking. I'm driving down though. haha. I just hope this nasty Michigan weather cooperates too by that time.
So stoked for 2010 :]

^Well maybe all of this nasty weather is a good indicator that the upcoming summer will be really nice.Last I heard the season pass center opens up sometime in the middle of April, but I'm not to sure about the exact date.
Maybe. I hope the weather's nice this summer. This Michigan weather has been weird this winter. On Tuesday it was like 45 degrees and raining and the next day it was like 32 and snowing? Last night Southeast Michigan got anywhere from 3 inches to 18 inches of snow. Crazy huh?
Back on track though, yeah I e-mailed one of the head of Park Operations person thing and I was told early April. So I hope its open when I have my spring break week off. If you hear anything else let me know! :]
So stoked for 2010 :]

For those of you planning on going to the season pass center in April, don't forget the P4 meeting.

I got to the park at 9 a.m. and the line wasn't even that long, it only took an hour for me to get my pass. But I would probably agree going earlier than opening day, you would be better off.
Since I live 2 1/2 hours away and can't drive there alone, I have to wait till opening day to get mine done (also the gas prices in Michigan are killer, so if I'm going there for my pass, I'm going to ride something).

last year that happened to me but it wasent opening day and we just payed to get in than the next day we went to GL and got it
Wait...I'm confused, you PAID to get in one day and got your season pass the next? Your sentence makes no sense.
eat. sleep. ride! - Coaster apparel and accessories!
Ride on, MrScott!
I would wait until opening day. In fact, we always have.
BUT: we got there at around 8:30 am. We were second in line, and they open the booths early to start processing people every year. All said, it took about 7 minutes, and we were in line before the park opened.
Now, there was a big difference between 8:15 and 10am...so if you know you can get there early, there's no need to make an extra trip.
As I'm writing this, though...I think this year everyone has to get a picture? If that is the case, add some time, but not much.
