Just what the title says. What's the best thing you ever got at the Point? Something you won, got at a gift shop? A picture snapped on a coaster that came out especially good?
Mine's a big blue ceramic mug I won at the Coliseum Arcade 2 seasons ago, on my first self-paid solo trip. It's big, blue, and has a cartoony picture of the then skyline, including MF, Magnum, Dragster, Power Tower, Maverick, Space Spiral, the arcade, and MaXair (and a little sailboat, too!) It's big enough to hold a whole can's worth of soup (or a packet of ramen, which I am eating at present.)
I love this mug. I know they don't make ones like this anymore. It was from the first trip I bought and paid for myself, my first stay at the Breakers, and if it ever got broke I'd be really bummed out.
You guys have any souvenirs like that?
Proud 5th Liner and CP fan since 1986.
It's a tossup between a framed photo of Fascination with a winning voucher in it or my park flown banner of Dragster. The photo I got from EBay and the banner I purchased from the speed zone (I think it's called)
I have too much CP stuff to pick. I also have a unused line Skippy for Dragster from it's inaugural year.
2008 visits = 38, 2009 = 19, 2010 = 11, 2011 = 14, 2012 = 10, 2013 = 14, 2014 = 14, 2015= 13, 2016 = 11, 2017 = 5, 2018 = 3
I have two - one is a Cedar Point item and one was a prize from a CP event...
The first is an on-ride photo of me and my hubby on Maverick. Why is this the best souvenir? My hubby hates riding anything - he just goes with me to people watch and enjoy the day away from work while I play Single Rider all day. One time, though, I went to get in line for Maverick and he said he would wait with me. I told him he couldn't unless he rode too, and he said, "I know." When we got off of the ride, he looked positively miserable and told me that now he could say he did it once, and he would never do it again... Poor hubby! LOL! So of course, I had to buy the picture as my only proof that he actually rode something with me.
My second treasure was from an event CP had back in August 2010 where Dale Earnhardt, Jr. made an appearance at the park, and being a huge fan, I had to be there. They had a booth set up for a Q&A session, and if you submitted a question, you were entered in a drawing for prizes. Well, out of this HUGE crowd of people, my name was picked, and I left there with a life-sized Dale Jr. cardboard stand-up. I was so excited to be going home that night with "Dale Jr." in the back seat!
Awesome memories! :-)

I know you did it yourself already, but that reply warrants another-
Awwwwwwwww. :)

Mine has got to be either my first park ticket from when I was 3 months or a park map signed by Bolliger & Mabillard.
Leave the hypercoaster alone
One of my favs would be a beach towel that has a map of Cedar Point on it...wish they still made them since ours has a big hole from being so worn
...and we refuse to toss it!
Sort of hard to dry off with a holy towel.

Dammit. Is someone cutting onions around here again?
Good one Adam. But I have to say I love my Cedar Point wind breaker.

My guesses for yours would have been bits of the Dragster cable from when it shreded, or the original copy of the Dragster station soundtrack which you hooked up to play in your bathroom. :)

Unless, that is, you mean to say the towel is a religious artifact. :)
~ that's kind of the joke....it's a Sunday towel.
^^ Gotcha. :)
I sadly don't have anywhere near as many CP souvenirs as I'd like. However, I am quite fond of my collection of giveaways from the park's great events.
I will soon have to utilize the highball glasses that the park offered on Friday, thinking of pouring in a nice true Black & Tan with Guiness & Murpy's :)
Corkscrew, Power Tower, Magnum, & Monster/ Witches Wheel Crew 2011
Best souvenir I ever got was the old park maps when I was a kid...used to look forward to getting one of those every year...don't know why but those were the BEST souvenirs I ever got!
Something I received in the front seat of my car in the parking lot when no one was around years ago? :)
