Best routes to CP for 06?

I cannot find anything on MDOT that mentions the closure I saw on 75. I'll look at the sign on my lunch and check the dates.

There was a whole bunch of stuff that was just weekend work last weekend through DT. Now they are mucking up the mixing bowl (Tele/696/10) which is going to make things just peachy. Sunday should be too bad though as I won't hit that till late.

Let me know what you see, guys. I'm leaving a week from tomorrow, and will be traveling from Utica/Sterling Heights, and will be traveling to Novi (I think), and on to CP during the late morning-early afternoon, unfortunately.

I have been doing the 96-23-80/90 for a year now, I too come from Lansing. There is construction everywhere! I am getting so tired of everyway we need to take to CP it is all construction!

When will they ever get 280 done?????? There is a better choice of restaurants in Oregon than on the turnpike.

280 is closed, so you won't want to go that way. :)

from Toledo,..and even though it is a tad more treacherous at night, my roommate and I generally take 75 South to the Miami Street exit, to Navarre Ave (Rte 2) through Oregon...and then follow all the way to the Rte 250 exit.

We have clocked it and there is basically only about a 10/15 minute difference. Again, 80/90 Turnpike is definitely the safer route to go at night though.

For a scenic drive (to head off to Starlite Hours)..we take Rte 2 to Rte 163 through the Islands.

What would be the best route from Cincinatti to Cedar Point? I have searched every map service out there and they all give a different route. The past two years I have been I took I71 to the Mansfield exit to 13 to 250. Just wondering if you all knew of a faster way or is that the best route?

The best route from Cincinatti to CP would be 75 to 80/90/Ohio Turnpike to the Route 4 exit into Sandusky.

Ok, how about the best route from CP to Geauga Lake? We're going from CoasterMania to CoasterExt. Thank you in advance!

2 East/Turns into 90, to 77 I believe, to 480, to 422.

Or if you aren't cheap like me, take the turnpike.

Best route from Cincinnati to Sandusky would be up I-71 to like 270 or something to US23 north to OH-4 all the way north to Sandusky.... At least, thats what I think it'd be. *** Edited 5/16/2006 1:56:50 AM UTC by bholcomb***

Well I wouldn't say "better", but there is definitely a "wider" array of restaurants to choose from....hehehe. As soon as you get off on the Navarre Ave (Route 2) exit and turn LEFT...there are fast food restaurants a' plenty! If you want a "sit down" restaurant, I'd go to Casa de Oro or Mister Beefy's Roadhouse perhaps. Once you pass the commercialized part of Navarre Avenue and onto the "country road" as it were, there aren't many options unless you get off on the Port Clinton exit.

Sidenote: If you're leaving the day before your actual visit to the park,..you could always drive an extra 20 minutes southwest of Oregon to Perrysburg.
