If the main feature of the coaster is its drops, I always sit as far back as I can to maximize the hills and floater air. As much as the "ejector seat" on Magnum is hyped, I still think the back three seats give a more intense ride with better airtime. So, back seat on MF, Gemini, Magnum, Blue Streak. I also prefer it for Corkscrew (for that bunny hill) and Wicked Twister (for the 'dangle').
I sit as close to the front as I can on Mantis, Mean Streak and Raptor.
I really have no strong preference on TTD or Maverick, and when I get done with either of those lines, I just look for a short wait for a seat.
Wildcat is excluded from this list, as it only has the one car, and I really don't care where I sit on Mine Ride, Iron Dragon, or Disaster Transport.
The path you tread is narrow, and the drop is sheer and very high.
Ha, I actually have a list saved from when a friend asked me the same question. Just my personal preferences, of course...
Blue Streak - middle seat, last car has given me some great rides, great airtime, not jerky at all
Disaster Transport - often you can't get the seat you want, but last time I rode in the front and found I enjoyed it a lot more
Gemini - middle seat of any car, but especially the back
Iron Dragon - this ride is rather slow, so the best way to get any thrill is in the last car
Magnum - same as Blue Streak and Gemini, middle seat of last car for speed, airtime, and less jerky ride - I thought the front car was rather dull
Mantis - front, so it's easier to anticipate quick turns - knees locked, one ear against the headrest to minimize headbanging - I swear getting a good ride on this is an art in itself
Maverick - any seat is good for me - I ride with my hands gripping the top of the over-the-shoulder restraint, to help cushion any headbanging
Mean Streak - I will only ride this in the very front seat - even the back seat of the first car will require a chiropractor afterward
Millennium Force - back has more speed, but I'll ride anywhere - one 'trick' is to go for the front of the last car: because of where the station entrance is and how the last queue wraps around, often people miss the 2nd-to-last row and it'll have a shorter wait
Raptor - front, barefoot if the weather's nice - or else last row
Top Thrill Dragster - front is cool, but the longer wait significantly increases your chances of the ride breaking down for the fifth time :)
Wicked Twister - 2nd-to-last row, right seat has the best view of the ground!
