This is just a fun place to write about all the fun stuff that happened while you worked at Cedar Point. Let us all in on some of the fun things that have happend to you over the season.
I made a ton of friends. The people that work at Cedar Point are renound for not only working long hours, but also for their sense of humor and their ability to communicate with people from all over the world. Cedar Point hires people from all over the world, making it a learning experience for many people. I thought it was cool making friends from places that i didn't even think existed. On top of that, it's a great time taking them all out for some Buffalo Wild Wings, or what i thought was the best, the fact that they all become addicted to Panera Bread.
Some of my fondest memories would probably be when randomly there was no power in zone one, so when we went to clock out, we had to go to the back of the park. That was a fun day. The conversations I would have with other Ride Ops waiting for a bus were classic.
The friendships that I made last season will last a lifetime. What other experiences did other people have?

Where to start?
Working at Cedar Point was an experience that I didn't see coming. I knew I was going to work at the park since I was in the sixth grade. I fell in love with every aspect of the park and what it has to offer. Living and working at the park was like a dream come true.
What I didn't see coming was the fact that I enjoyed my job for reasons I never thought about before I started. Sure it was fun to ride coasters on my off time and having a chance to operate a roller coaster, but that kind of stuff can only last so long before you find it very repetitive on boring.
My very first day of work (June 14) was a crazy experience. I didn't know anybody and it was a bit overwhelming. One week later I knew everyone my crew and I became good friends with all of them.
Memories for me include Diana's, B Dubs, ride nights, big bash, and many others.
2007 was a great year for me. I went from loving the park for the roller coasters to loving the park for all the people I worked with.
2008 season should be all that plus more.
Woo... Corkscrew!!

Well, I almost did'nt work at CP, because when I saw the line to HR, I almost got back into my car and said this is crazy, I'm not standing in that line just to process in. But I did, so now this will be season number 5!! I started in 2004, as a sweep, and was a sweep for 2005. I made a lot of friends, and our zone5 sweeps even went out for a dinner at Applebees. It was an awsome time, and I still keep in touch with some of my former co workers from ES. In 2006 I decided to go to merchandise, it was really cool to work in the biggest shop in the park. Again I made so many friends, and memories. In 2007 I was promoted to one of the TL's of the biggest shop in the park. I gotta tell ya, that was the BEST season ever!! One I will never forget, the crew of the Pagoda for 2007, you were the best, and I hope to see some of you in 2008. I guess I'll always love Cedar Point, it is the absolute BEST park on the planet. I think everyone who works at CP is special, and like to talk to anyone from any department. I hope all employees have a great '08!!
The sex.
Just kidding.
Sort of.
But wouldn't that make for a great marketing plan to bring in some employees?
Pay? Not great. Work? Mundane. Opportunities to "get some"? Priceless. Cedar Point summer job fair coming to campus soon!

For me the best part was working with the guests. Selling tickets at Group Sales or Resort entrance, or answering all the questions they had.
But my favorite part was at the entrance gates at the end of the night, as I told people to have a good night when they left:) It always put me in a good mood after a long day of work.
The best part wasn't necessarily the friends that I made, but it was just making people happy.
