Best Halloween venue

I attended Cedar Point's Halloween events several times last year but this is the first time I went.

Currently I live 2 hrs from the point but am moving an additional 2 hrs away. I am considering also going to Canada's Wonderland's Halloween Haunt or to the one at King's Island.

Just looking for feedback on how the other parks do. I have heard the KI is superior to CP. The Wonderland one looks decent too but it is disapointing you have to pay more and they are not included in your platinum pass as they are at the point. Also I do not like either park as much as CP but I am thinking of giving it a shot if people speak highly of the events.

Please let me know if you know...

I'm going out to get some air.

I think that Canada's Wonderland offers discount tickets for Haunt to Platinum Passholders. I do not know the price and do not know if they will be offering it this year but they offered it in years past.

From what I've heard KI's Haunt is pretty scary especially the houses.

I'm not sure about CW, but the Haunt at KI is much more adult-oriented than Halloweekends. Not necessarily scarier, or with more talented actors, but more graphic with their props, scenes, language, etc.

My thoughts on the KI haunts vs CP:

Positives for KI:

-Much better indoor houses, dont miss Masacre Manor or Urgent Scare they are fantastic. Also a lot of people like Club Blood but not me.

-The entire park is litterally covered in fog (except the woods by the Beast) be sure to snag night rides on the Racer, Adventure Express and Drop Zone to fully appriciate this.

-The whole place is one big scare zone, so stay on the lookout

-If you go on a Friday (and you really need to, just check out the negatives) when the park opens all of the outdoor scare actors (whose zones dont open for another hour) will form at the opening gate.

-The Terror Trail and Tombstone Terroritory are really good outdoor zones, but nothing beats CP's outdoor zones

-The park is not that packed during the day (outside of Nick U) until the Haunt starts

-The park stays open an hour later, till 1 am

Negatives:

-The park becomes unbarably packed on Saturdays once the Haunt starts every haunt has a line (there are no free zones like at CP) and all the other rides will have full queues, its really not worth being there. What I usually do is get a hotel room Friday night, do all the haunts and get my night rides in on Friday then go to the park on Saturday and ride during the day, get their buffet that gets you FOL access to the newest haunt, do that one with no wait and then wait in the 2 hour line for my last night ride on the Beast for the year.

-The zones are not zones like CP, you need to wait in a line and can only walk in one direction

-No attraction at KI approaches the Fright Zone, but then again no attraction at any haunt Ive been to does that.

I have one suggestion, spend the extra money and plan a trip to Halloween Horror Nights at Orlando Studios Florida. It's the best Halloween venue ANYWHERE!
