If the hotel guests have any decency, you bet they will give you a tip for hauling their bags. I always tip at any hotel I go to.
I'd rather be in my boat with a drink on the rocks,
than in the drink with a boat on the rocks.
A bellman at the Point has the potential to make a lot of money, if they work for it. I knew bellmen that made great money...but they were hard workers. It really is up to you, which is not unlike being a waiter.
Bellmen used to make minimum wage plus tips but I don't know if that remains true today.

Is it true that you must be 18 to work as a bellhop at the Point?

I believe it is true because bellhops will sometimes substitute as Courtesy Van drivers.

they make good money....... i thought thats the job i was gonna get for 2005 but i got cadillac cars.
I wouldn't mind that job most of the time. The only bad part would be getting stuck carrying someone's 200 pounds of luggage up 3 or 4 flights of stairs in the old section of the Breakers where there is no elevator.
Yah, i worked at a Disney resort this winter as a bellman. It's a cake postion. Even considering there were no elevators on the entire resort and families going to disney usually consist of 1000 people there for 14 days. Imagine lugging that up the stairs. But... it's excellent money and a good job if u like BS'ing with people.
