Before first paycheck?

How much money do you need to bring before you get your first paycheck? How much does food cost at CP?

idk how much food costs but i am bringing about 300$ just incase.

I was told that meal at the cafeteria cost around $3 per meal. Now assuming that you will eat 3 meals a day that is just cafeteria food then you need $189. Now as for housing im not sure if you have to pay for it right away or not but if you do and your staying in the dorms then you need $249, if living in the commons then $294, if living in the commons apartments then $273, the bayside apartments $279.
Now this is assuming you packed everything that you will need in you first 21 days. if you forgot anything that you can't go without you will have to bring a little more money to cover the cost.
Now i will probably be bringing a little extra money and am hoping to stay in the commons dorms so i will be bringing somewhere around $350

Housing is taken out of your paycheck. You don't pay anything out of pocket for it. However I brought $250 last year. It was enough to get by with food. I was even able to go out to dinner with my crew a few times.
